I also prefer Casino over Goodfellas, and while they may be companion films, I really do feel as if Goodfellas was a sort of practice run for the more epic scale of Casino. And save for Cape Fear, which I would replace with Raging Bull, your top 4 is identical to my own favs of his.
@musicofmichaelquinn4 күн бұрын
I agree with your thoughts on Casino! I just filmed a review for it, it will be up next month! And Raging Bull is one of his movies that could be in my top 5 too! The only thing that might keep it out is, while it's amazing, it's a heavy movie that I can only watch every so often where a lot of his other movies manage to be heavy but also rewatchable. "Objectively" though, Raging Bull is probably his "best" film!

As a long time Death fan you just cant rank those albums because they are all Epic and I would say also what amaze me after all those years is that at some point they all have been my favorite Chuck album
@musicofmichaelquinn4 ай бұрын
@@Aeternuss This definitely was super hard to decide which one was the “best” because they’re all so good! Honestly the whole “ranking” or tier list format is just an excuse for me to talk about a band and their albums! I don’t take the ranks too seriously! But yeah, Chuck was a beast and it was pretty much impossible to find anything “bad” about these albums! Like o said with Leprosy I was pretty much just like: “it’s really good!….i just like the others better I guess?” 😂
@YONATOOTH4 ай бұрын
Cool ranking, allthough I disagree pretty much completly 😅 But Death is one of those bands that you can rank in almost any order and I would understand, except for one album that I feel is clearly their weakest and that is the sound of perseverance. The identity just feels a bit off and the energy seems flat on that one, but still a pretty good album though. It just lacks that death metal energy and I think the band would have moved on to an even more proggy style if they would have kept going, but sadly that wasn’t to be. I would rank them like: 7. TSOP 6. Symbolic 5. Scream Bloody Gore 4. Individual Thought Patterns 3. Spiritual Healing 2. Human 1. Leprosy
@musicofmichaelquinn2 ай бұрын
I love that we can respectfully disagree! This was honestly pretty hard for me because I think all the albums are amazing. I get it if someone sees TSOP as overrated, but for me it’s perfect! I have a feeling that I might re-listen to Leprosy and “get it” but for right now I don’t prefer the more raw death metal era of their sound. It’s all just pulling hairs though! 🤘
@tymekdercoolede39814 ай бұрын
i would put leprosy in S, put individual thought patterns and the sound of persevarance in B, spiritual healing in C and scream bloody gore in low A. I think leprosy has the best riffs and solos, the vocals are also prefect and the drums go nuts. I feel like spiritual healing has only 2 or 3 songs that aren't forgettable but I love the title track. And I am one of those who thinks the sound of persevarance is overrated. I don't like most of the melodies but songs like story to tell or spirit crusher are really catchy. And i have to say that the bass on individual song patterns ruins some part of songs for me. But i'm a huge death fan so I don't think that any of their songs are bad
@musicofmichaelquinn2 ай бұрын
I love Story to Tell! And I can see what you mean about Leorosy, how you feel about Spiritual Healing is kind of how I feel about Leprosy- but I did listen to all these albums back to back again before making this video so I might have just been a bit checked out. I ended up writing some super heavy riffs the next day though 😂 Thanks for the comment and support! 🤘
