i dont understand why any of you would wanna stand there and push on a drill this was effortless, not only that lets see you drill through the broken t30 bit after using an impact screw driver trying to remove it...i also normally hit the head of the screw with a punch and hammer and 99.99% they come out this is the first one that hasnt. this is also the rust belt things dont just fall off for us.

From a 30 year veteran on Honda and Acura, the best fastest way to remove these is cutting wheel across the middle and flat tip in impact driver....... Good luck!!!!!!

Try a shake n break next time. Or just use a air hammer bit holder and a pair of vice grips for a handle. We have all been there thats for sure.

never heard of a shake and break? i always get this out by whacking the head of the screw with a nice sized punch and hammer.. this one wasnt having it today.

@colesmith4545 . . . In cases like this I usually hold the wheel with a skyhook and use a 2-inch bolt extractor coupled to a 1/2 Milwaukee drill motor. Either that or a 2-pound sledge.

@@mbfishing3807 if you hit a impact driver too hard with the hammer it exploded the bit.. exactly what happen to me then the piece was stuck in the head.. so i heated the head glowing red then used the air hammer to spin the head.. such a hack job...

If you weren’t going to install a new screw, why not drill the head? I drilled one of those countersunk heads last week and it worked for me. I’m learning and probably just missing something obvious.

Changed the starter in my 70 olds 98 a couple times they were so heavy and awkward. If the alt. Or battery were bad you could ruin the others it was a vicious cycle.
