Franklin. The Copper Kettle or South Dining and Worcester(the old one) was North Dining before southwest. Draper Hall was the original dining prior to Worcester and Franklin.

Thank you for the video. You threw me a little bit. I never heard of "Franklin" dinning hall called "Frank"! I was wondering what you were initially talking about. Was over 30 years ago for me. Use to be picnic table like tables to eat on. Not quite the variety of food you have now. College dinning halls are such bargains. Sometimes, if I'm in Vegas I'll go to the UNLV dinning hall. Nothing beats the UNLV gym for gyms in the area. Price per what you get it can't be beat. Has a n awesome indoor 1/3 mile walking track 3 stories high overlooking the city. Great for the summer. Still have a pipe dream of getting my masters in computer science and computer systems programming somewheres. Maybe someday... Everyone's so free and chasing their dreams there... I must have walked at least a hundred loops around the campus from Sylvan to Southwest South and beyond. To get a small feel of what it was like when I was there watch DACRITTERS youtube about UMass. There use to be a cartoon panting in the basement of the campus center depicting a John Butcher Axis concert. There is a raven haired beauty in the picture. She actually existed. Was a perfect day that day, maybe slightly overcast, but no rain. Not to fond of what they did to the quad; but they could have done worst. Everybody always throwing frisbees. Managed to throw some myself, not as much as I'd have liked to. Electrical Engineering back than was an erudite combat survivor pit. 400 got to enter 80 got to leave. Fields II almost took me out. Only course I ever got a D minus in. What a worthless stupid course. Wish I majored in Computer Systems Engineering. Focused on job prospects though. All the job descriptions at the time wanted BSEE's; so that's what I got.

umass 2021 alum! frank was always my favorite DC. i was an orchard hill girl for 3/4 years (would've been 4 but they were quarantine dorms in 2020-2021 so). i loved the grill station at frank because grilled cheese?? yes. also have fond memories of bbq chicken monday, chicken noodle soup wednesday, and pesto chicken pasta friday!! when I was there, it was the busiest dining hall... if you went around 11-12 or 5-6 you would NEVER find a seat!!!

I loved Frank when I went to Umass! Do they still have the sushi station? I loved the deli station, the stir-fry station and the sushi station. And I loved that it was right next to central. All of my friends lived on the 2 in 20 floor and it was in central at the time so we always met at Frank. I don’t think they had hard serve ice cream when I was there, I feel like I’d remember that. It looks great. Enjoy!
