Women are often judged through stereotypes claiming that gaining muscle is “manly.” This shoot was a celebratory event for women who chose to break out of fear and do something that allows them to feel confident in their own skin. I have no problem empowering men, I coach and encourage men daily through workouts. Empowering humans should be encouraged to and from everyone. This shoot however was a target audience of females. I would also have to agree to disagree with you that women have it so much better than men. As a women I am uncomfortable walking alone, or at night for fear of being taken advantage of. As a man you may feel weak expressing your inner thoughts and emotions. The problem is society makes people think that being vulnerable is dangerous when it will be the thing that sets you free.
