I'm glad I got this for $24.99. Good looking figure but not worth $35.

This was the armor Tony used when he could walk are controlled the armor via headset wireless control. I'd like to see the slim leg version.

This armor had two different names from what i remember. It was called the modern armor and yes every so often it was called modular. It also was incorrectly called the Extremis armor whenever it was casually used as promotional art.

they keep cooking with each ironman, I got extremist and might be getting this one

I ordered mine through Hasbro. I’m still waiting for it. Appreciate the legitimate criticisms. I don’t understand why they decided to use a pinned arm for this figure. So random. I loved the marvel select weapons, can this cable hold the rifle with two hands? Like have you tried putting him in an aiming stance with the weapon? I wonder if there’s some limitations since there’s no butterfly joints

Now it would be great if Hasbo gave us , a comic based Melter and the Unicorn, for Ironman's rouge gallery, and a couple for Daredevil , the Gladiator, and Mr Fear, and the Owl , it could be another villains wave . What's your thoughts, and is there any villains you would want also ?

when we expected this figure to be bad but this ended becoming one of the Best. The proportions and face tops Mafex.. to me Mafex just has the advantage of its articulation. 😊

I remember the old crappy toybiz version. Never thought I'd want to see this version of iron man again. But like this one ❤😂
@djfunkgutАй бұрын
Toy biz honestly had better sculpts .. the ball joints didn’t age well but if you look at the detailing and articulation . Quality and maturity of the look went backwards after Hasbro got the company

@@djfunkgut I wouldn't say that for everything hascrap puts out haha. The movie line stuff is always good except for the eternals crap. The Hydra stomper is a masterpiece. So are the MCU Spiderman. Just the marvel legends dudes are not backed enough by their own company! This is why they put out crappy reissues after reissues. ❤️😃

There's Hasbro for you they put a hinge on the hands that don't have ports for repulsor blast and then do put hinges on the hands that don't have ports for repulsor blasts 🙄 why even switch from figure to figure wouldn't it be cheaper just to keep it all the same one way or the other?... And yes I understand that for lore purposes this model didn't have blasters in the hands yet..... But do you seriously think hasboro cares about the Lore?

Looks decent enough. I always had a soft spot for his old clunky armour. I'm not sure the gold of his torso matches the arms and legs. For this suit I'd prefer the Tony head that came with the 80 years armour. The pencil thin moustache and short hair are how I remember him with this armour. This is a bit too 1970's Charles Bronson.

Great fig and review. After him a couple of classic Hasbro could do are Graviton, Michael Korvac and Warlord Krang. Graviton was a powerhouse against the Avengers. Enough said. 🤞🍻

Gravitron is a must. As is Scarlet Centurion.

amazing review! you just got yourself another sub! One question though, does the skirt inhibit his leg movement at all? If so how limited is it compared to the original grey/silver release?

I know I'm very late to this conversation, but I addressed the shield vs arm problem. The larger loop strap goes around the bicep and the other smaller loop wraps the wrist. There is no other way to approach the problem other than popping some parts off and then back on again. I do not advise the "Boil & Pop" water method considering the size of this figure vs safety. Heat the arm up with a Hair Dryer on high heat for a "minute" until the arm feels rubbery. Next, grip the elbow works and forearm parts tightly, being careful not to accidentally pull it apart when you~SLOWLY~ pull the (green) glove/hand away from the (white) forearm. Reheat longer if it seems to resist popping off. Take your time and protect your fingers from heat. Don't use clamps; they may leave marks. You only need a few seconds to separate these parts IF they are warm enough. Once apart, you can slip the arm into the shield strap and pop the glove back on the arm. This re-assembly step is easier if the "female" parts are warmer than the "male" parts. You have to take the hand off (heat up if necessary) and then back on for the other shield strap. The straps will be on the bicep and wrist when finished. Please take care with the hair dryer and hot parts.

This is the first Nightcrawler I’ve bought since the Toybiz days. Really miss the bendy tail and toe articulation on this guy. It’s also weird to see a Nightcrawler with no sword or even a grab hand to hold a sword at all. A boot cut swivel would also really help this fig and he shoulda had the torso articulation of the recent Spider-Man figs. The fig just isn’t as posable as I was hoping for. Still happy to have a Nightcrawler on the shelf though and I’m digging this line more than I was expecting. That Cyclops is great. Can’t wait for them to show Beast and I’m still holding out hope for Colossus.

Promotional images for this figure made me hate it but I have it in hand now and I absolutely love it! Sculpted details are awesome, I don't really miss the diaphragm as much as I thought I would. In all honesty the crunch difference between this and the VHS is so minimal the sacrifice is worth the benefit of better looking sculpt with sculpted detail on the belt/body and legs.. even the blue lines are sculpted on the torso. I really love the reduced hand and head size of these animated figures, looks better than the usual legends proportions imo.
