Not only are trolls/shills used in comment sections, they also make KZbin videos to get their viewers to feed into groupthink on various topics. At a 2012 summit, former CIA director David Petraeus essentially admitted that the CIA has a covert online presence that it uses not only for data mining purposes but also to infiltrate online conversations for the purpose of protecting “national security” interests. Basically government interest include posting approved government propaganda and has little to do with fighting misinformation but rather is the source of a lot of misinformation itself. Such interests, it turns out, include disrupting conversations that discuss topics like 9/11 truth, and also the U.S. involvement in giving weapons to Syrian rebels. If you doubt this, remember the US acknowledges Russian and China trolls/shills, is it really far fetched to think the US has its own paid trolls/shills? I doubted this too, till I found them on 9-11 videos and when I called them out, they copied my name and image and posted nonsense trying to discredit me. So it makes me wonder, how much else are they interfering with public opinions and information?
