Guys, don't get access to gear right away? So, years of travel ball, little league, and HS means nothing? Tourny play Sat &Sun from 8am to 6pm doesn't earn them team gear? How's Michigan doing in the Big 10?

This is a phenomenal concept. I have an 8U travel softball team that we have developed a maturity with that we have eliminated comparisons to others with and instilled a compete against yourself mindset. With that said, they understand individual measurement and the motivation that comes from that is almost tangible. You can see it in their eyes. When they see measurable that we use that has a grade that they are not happy with, they hit another gear. I can honestly say that we have done such a good job with developing that there is not one kid that looks at their grades and feels sorry for themselves or compares themselves to others for justification; instead, they are ready to change that grade for the better. The material put out by @BrianCainPeak is the baseline for the mental approach for our team and organization.

What an inspiring metaphor, so you're saying if you had second thoughts about murdering strangers for profit, it's best that an authoritarian psychopath force you to by needlessly destroying your only chance of escape. So inspiring... I can see how this would be one of your favorite stories.

Was catching up on your recent videos which I've been missing due to my husband's recent hospitalization and diagnosis. I was feeling so low. We are athletes so I often check in with your "stuff" for that type of motivation. But today, was you spoke about Event + Response = Outcome and up flashed the words "cancer is an event", it's the response we are in control of - things clicked for me. Thank you.

Good stuff Brian. The misinformed coaches don't even know their response is an event for the players.

God bless Michael! Really needed to see this today. The verse of the day this morning for me was from Luke 9:23-24: “Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” Peace and Love ❤

I disagree with one thing said. There is a difference between being committed to something and becoming obsessed with something. I am a firm believer that what separates someone from becoming the absolute most crafted in their field and someone who knows it well enough, is obsession. I am committed to a lot of things in life. Some of the commitments I have I necessarily don't even care for. When I become obsessed with something, I take it to that next level. I am constantly studying, practicing, or whatever else it takes for me to be the absolute best at whatever it is.

“It’s the start that stops us!” I’m not sure if Brian mentioned that here but that’s what keeps ringing through my head as I watch this video. Because he has said it before and it’s true. Meanwhile in the back of my mind I’m putting off implementing new marketing tactics in my business. And in my head I gotta get it all done in one day. But remembering this principle all I need to do it do a few items and schedule the rest. Once I’m started and have a plan that’s half the battle. Sorry to rant but this mindset conditioning works. I’m glad I keep tuning in daily until these principles become second nature.
