An amazing tribute to a genius! Bravo! Art would not be the same without the innovation, Cézanne brought to it, the true founder of Cubism and abstract art, who inspired Picasso, Matisse, Derain and so many more! May his beautiful soul rest in peace. He died far too young, but lives on in our hearts forever.

This quibbling about style is irritating. If the work is good, the label you put on it is irrelevant. Be damned.

The City of Lights welcomed Modigliani with open arms, but did not always understand him. The Italian artist, swept up in the Parisian bohème, lived an intense and brief life, marked by successes and failures, love and pain. Discover the unbreakable bond between Modigliani and the city that inspired and destroyed him. #Modigliani #Paris #Bohème #Art

Enjoyable and informative. Had seen the cotton house painting before but didn't know about the family connection to New Orleans.

I think the first art lesson everyone should have is building their own color wheel with different mediums. Manufactured color wheels give you the basis but they can never reproduce the color you will achieve with your particular medium. Building your own allows you to get a feel for how much of each color you need to get the desired result. Also, for me the fun part is adding white for tints and complementary colors for graying. Even a small set of paints can achieve a wide variety of colors. Thanks for this video. It was very helpful.

Pentel are hard pastels that do not blend well. Easiest way is to blend pastels together on top of each other rather than blending with stump or finger. There were many places you could have blended with finger. Once I saw the Pentel I realized why you didn’t Remember the sky will always reflect the ground. If it’s sunset then the ground is not as green and vibrant, the sun has gone down making a lot of shadows. Trees in background should be dark or gray in color and trees closer should have dark bits added to create shadows. The water would not be as blue when sun has gone down. Just some friendly advice. Take care

Nice video, but the original ballerina sculpture was made of wax. After Degas’ death his heirs made the decision to have repetitions of La Petite Danseuse and other wax sculptures cast in bronze.
