Cartin Prymak, you even resemble Paul Simon from back then.

Anyone else like the song way more now that they realize it’s not a song about heaven but about futility and death ?

I’m sure members of Soundgarden feel the same! Matt Cameron loved him! They were all great musicians that also happened to have one of the most attractive and talented lead singers in history playing with them! The voice was one in a million!

The thing I love most about this video is that you can see there's painter's tape along the wall...which means these dudes were probably in the process of panting the place and had the room cleared, probably saw the chairs and lamp set down in just the right way and thought "dude, we could totally recreate that paul simon video right now" and proceeded to drop what they were doing just to record this. Dunno, if that's how it went down but I like to think it was.

Chris's ability to express his emotions so poiantly and beautifully poetic through his lyrics was amazing!!! The best song writer in the business!!! Topped with his expressive voice & incredible singing range made him the Genius that he was. From the first time I heard Like a Stone, I knew what it was about; and It saddened my heart . Chris & Chester Binnington both had deep & many times dark undertones to their songs, which many ppl like myself, could connect with & relate to. They stirred our hearts!!. Rest In Peace my two friends. May your spirits finally find True happiness. I'll always be your loving fan 💖 PS That goes for you too Laney & Curt 😍

That’s why I didn’t care for the song initially. This makes me like the song waaaaay more. He would’ve willing to go to any heaven if he thought it existed but ultimately I think he sees the futility. Much deeper song than I initially thought. I initially thought throat it was a religious song. It’s absolutely not. It’s a human song.

This is how I felt about the "bright future" sentence he said, but I wasn't sure how to put that in words... Thanks for your comment, you've expressed it much better than I would have done it (taking into consideration the fact that English is not my first language). Anyway, I still feel extremely sad about "the future" getting so dark for Chris that it brought his life to its tragic end...

@@autumnfall8085 me too. I saw audioslave in Calgary AB in 05 (I think) Tom was wearing a Flames hockey jersey because he was a fan and Chris said they would be back, but it never happened. :'(
