Where I live, only my room is suitable for chinchillas, but summer is unbearable even for me. I'm from Herzegovina btw. But I'd love a chinchilla

I’m very new to bunnies. I bought a corner one that has a grate. I thought this would be good. I was wrong. Do I’m seeing that a grate where the poop falls thru isn’t as good as a litter box with paper and hay. Thank you

Pet store cages are only fit for the bin hate seeing people with Guinea pigs in pet store cages and they are not for young kids I agree with that totally.people should do research before getting Guinea pigs

I keep happening upon gp's in need. I may just have to start a rescue as well. My latest one is from an overwhelmed sanctuary that has kids helping. Well, one helped a male right into a female cage and got one pregnant. They separated her, but she was in a filthy wet cage with an empty water and food dish. I asked if I could take her and they let me. I never had a pregnant anything, myself included, but am binge watching videos on the topic. Yours might be the best and you have a calming personality. You seem like you would be an excellent person to work with! Thank you for your time.

sucks that very few understand the differences between a domestic // wild 🐰 Just like every living soul with a life like ours, should be able to roam as much as we do. 😢 I feel like we all need our roaming spaces… 🙋🏻♀️ Is there a pen that you recommend that’s sturdy, good quality, tall? I’ve seen so many different kinds and it’s very overwhelming not feeling confident enough to order one that will work. My bun shes a high jumper, hops over or on anything she feels like 😅. Best good price for a good pen! I’ve seen those beautiful glass like ones for pets, I love it so much. But at the moment it’s out of my price range 😩😩😩 3/4years 😢 needing/wanting a pen. Haha 😅difficult within my areas to find advice. So I do look forward to your response if you do reply… ahhh please and thank youuuuu!

Free roam sounds great, but you have to consider the risk. Rabbits are prey for large birds , dogs and other wild animals. Also, there is an outbreak of RHDV2 that is now in the US. No vaccine available yet in the US. Also, some people and farmers use weed killing sprays that can be fatal to rabbits. Rabbits are very popular and common pets in England due to space limitations. You can adapt a cage floor so the they are not on wire cage bottoms. Rabbit proof a room or two so your rabbit can have space to run around You can also put your rabbit in a harness with a leash attached and take outside where you know grass is safe and you can chase off predators. . Best advice, check your rabbit daily and get to know its normal behavior. Rabbits are very loving pets !

No need to buy a guinea pig when you can adopt.

My bun is 10 years old and has not been in a cage in years. I was uneducated when I first adopted him and now he is a free roaming bunny and living his best life. That’s for sharing this wonder advice.

Like rabbits, hamsters also need large enclosures! Hamsters run at least 5 miles every night, they need enrichment, and foraging is their main activity in the wild. I don’t want anyone to get the wrong impression here that a “cage” is suitable for a hamster. They need a minimum of 100cmx50cm of space, such as a 40 gallon breeder tank. Please don’t put hamsters in small cages!

I do have a cage with a plastic bottom that she uses a litter box. We use bedding on the bottom. The only time she gets locked in there is when she’s sick. More to monitor her and to make sure she’s eats, drinks, and monitor her output. She will have free roam during the day. Normally she’s free roam between two bedrooms and a bathroom. If she interested supervised roam to our basement. When we know we going to be out all day she’ll be stuck in her main bedroom until we get back home or overnight more for emergencies.

I am unable to free roam my kids rabbit due to other pets in our home particularly my dog. I am searching for a bigger enclosure for her. She is a Rex Doe. Her current enclosure is raised so her urine and feces fall through it into a catch tray. She has no contact with her urine and feces while in the enclosure. I do let her out for exercise for a very long time. I move the dog elsewhere during this time frame. Where can I find a huge indoor enclosure for her? Should the enclosure be a pen? What size pen? Do the pens come with a surface that is easy to clean?

I got a dog pen at Ross for $30 or less it’s just a big cage with no top and they have 25 foot ones or bigger on Amazon. She has tons of space and rabbits are very easy to litter box train!

My buns love these and they are experts at the puzzles. One will actually turn the drawer-style toy upright, and pull the drawers straight up to get the treats inside! I have found that when it is humid, the wood swells a little, making the drawers more difficult to pull open. Same with the round-tops on the other toy. But not horrible. Bunnies are smart! Where there is a will, there is a way!

My bun was born to released pets and she lived her first 6 months in the wild. When we caught her, we quickly brought her to the vet and she had a bot fly larvae in her side that was almost bursting through her chest wall. The vet removed it and cleaned out as much infection as she could and we had to give bun antibiotics for weeks. It was bad. She will never live outdoors! She “free roams” in our dining room where we have bunny proofed the space and she has a pen in there where we can comfortably contain her if needed. She sits in the window and looks outside but that’s as close to outdoors she will ever get after that ghastly larvae was removed!

I have a male Dutch. He was my daughter's rabbit, but she passed away in feb. 2022. They lived with me. Now I moved in with my daughter and brought Bailey (my bunny) with me. I have a cage for him, but everyday I let him out to run around my bedroom. He cannot have access to the rest of the house because of cats. I worry about him now since the change, but do you think he's okay?

My rabbit shares a home with 4 cats (1 being mine and the others are my parents) and he gets along with them just fine.

I keep my bunny in my room with me & she is just fine ! The whole room is hers basically but I do use a pen (bought it at Ross for dogs it was $30 or less) to block off her getting out of the room. We don’t have other animals but I have roommates and if Zelda gets out she will chew everything etc & get electrocuted.

Hi there.. So Mama had babies a week ago.. I did separate Dad and Mom.. But when is it safe to put them back together.. Cuz Dad is super depressed that he is alone now.. (we also needed to move Mom and Babies into another room as Dad started to bite the cage and screamed to get to Mom and Babies)
