what is the maximum concrete slab thickness can possible to lift it with the PU and how much pressure can produce by the foam to uplift the slab

Explain this. Why can u not just fill the crack, then after, grind flush then put the morter Overton of the crack. That way the crack is 100 percent full. No guessing if it is????
@Jenny_11583 ай бұрын
WOW... A lot of wasted time messing around. Just pull out the old slab, fix the bottom foundation and pour new concrete. And you'd have something that will last longer!
@bradmcnally78594 ай бұрын
Why don’t you use a pressure pot with a coupling block on it to flush the iso and poly side instead of brake cleaner?
@roberthall5906 ай бұрын
Should use a cartridge 3m type industrial mask and not the cheap type mask in the video because of the bad news/nasty dangerous silica in the dust when grinding or cutting concrete. People - Google dangers to lungs from silica (quartz?) In the dust from grinding or cutting concrete.

What brand is the dcp you’re using ? Any recommendations?

We use the Pagani DPM 30. It is a wonderful machine if you are using it regularly. If you are only doing a few per year it is better to hire someone who already has one.

My question is what if someone is residing there - how much prep do you need to make your work area optimal?
@truliftconcrete Жыл бұрын
That is a great question. This job was great because the demolition work was already done. Typically, we just need the flooring taken up prior to lifting. In some cases, the customer may just have us drill through the flooring, with the understanding they will have to repair it in the future.

What's the difference between a poly sealant and a concrete specific epoxy fix ? Is the former better for expected frost-thaw cycles & seismic activity?
@truliftconcrete Жыл бұрын
We don't recommend polyurethane sealant, and definitely don't recommend epoxy. Both of those tend to get very rigid over time, and are not UV stable. You will usually find polyurethane sealant in the big box stores because they are easy to install. If you want to do it properly we would recommend a concrete specific silicone that is DOT rated such as Dowsil 888, or Alchatek AP Slabseal 142.

Wow i find it shocking that people are so fast at showing their stupidity and make fraudulent videos on how to do something then they screw that up even like this idiot started with a crack but then is improperly filling an expansion joint and no crack filled at all but if you want to fill an expansion joint you use 2 inch tape on each side then fill the joint and smooth with a 2 inch wide puddy knife and done

Does this leave an incline as another tripping hazard or do you smooth out farther back to mitigate the risk?
@truliftconcrete Жыл бұрын
For every inch we grind we slope it back a foot. Then we take a hand grinder to smooth it out a bit more. Grinding is our last resort when lifting and replacement are not an option for the customer.

@truliftconcrete Жыл бұрын
We use a high active solid penetrating siloxane sealer. It does not form a film on the top, but penetrates and fills the pores of the concrete. This does not change look or slip resistance of the slab. Only con is that the product is about 4x the cost of cheaper sealants.
