I dont know how but this has been around for 20 years already. P2P bridges are the fundament of a lot of networks, especially years back where internet availability wasnt that broad yet and people had to distribute it over long distances. Btw, looks like an AI voice-over? Put in the work.
@NetworkWander10 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your insights! You're absolutely right, P2P bridges have been a part of networking for years. However, this video is part of a series focused on MikroTik Network Associate material, aiming to offer foundational knowledge for those just starting out or looking to understand MikroTik's specific implementations. Regarding the voice-over, we're exploring various formats to best deliver our content. Really appreciate your feedback!

Really? Wireless is new to you? The rest of the entire world has known about it for 30 years. What a waste of 1's and 0's
@NetworkWander10 ай бұрын
You're correct that wireless technology has been around for quite some time. The intention of this video is to provide an introductory overview, making it accessible even to those who are new to the field or who might need a refresher, and for those new to MikroTik, particularly for MikroTik Network Associate learners. Our goal is to create content that is valuable and informative for a wide audience. Appreciate your feedback!

Y’all need to make one that can test a set of wires BEFORE the connector is crimped. This would save a lot of one time use connectors. And folks should know that CAT 5 wire sets are smaller in gauge than CAT 6. Wire terminals made for CAT 5 won’t fit wires from a CAT 6. When building a repair kit, buy both.
@NetworkWander11 ай бұрын
That's an interesting suggestion about testing uncrimped cables! Is this a DIY method you've used or come across? Would love to hear more about it. And you're right about CAT 6 wires being thicker. It's important to use connectors with appropriately sized contacts for a proper fit. This video covers basic LAN tester usage, but diving into cable types and advanced testing in future videos is a great suggestion. Much appreciated!

Which os is best in v6 V6.46 or v6.47 or
@NetworkWander11 ай бұрын
Hey there @birendramandal1181! I'd say go for the latest long-term version, which is 6.49.10. It's got the newest security updates, so you're better protected. Since it's a long-term version, it's stable and fixes a bunch of issues. Plus, it's the newest, so you'll find more help from the community and MikroTik themselves. Basically, it's the best mix of being safe, stable, and supported in the v6 series.
