@@VexdinLord I wouldn't be too harsh with her, while Sera has a hard time learning different perspectives it makes sense why she doesn't like elves and doesn't see herself as one. She probably tried to join the Dalish after her time in Denerim but was rejected because they felt she was too different from them. So she sees most of the Dalish stuff the same as nobles punching down on ordinary people, shaming the city elves for being worse than them. Sure there is no excuse for being wilfully ignorant about things but at least she isn't putting herself down because of mistakes made long ago.

@@deathstar6998 My frustration isn't her lack of ability to learn other cultures, it's her outright disrespect of anything she just doesn't get. Like Solas was never a Dalish elf and the stuff he talks about is mostly brand new stuff, but Sera just starts insulting him for speaking elvish or for talking about anything related to magic or elves. It seems like she outright hates anything elvish and just wishes they were all "normal". If she asked questions and then just kinda gave up because it was too hard, I would be more sympathetic, but she's just disrespectful towards anyone who isn't like her and it's very annoying.

@@VexdinLord The problem is Solas is trying to connect with her as an Elf not as a person and that is what makes the conflict and as you say disrespect. Besides is it disrespectful to reject a culture that rejected her? Solas only has interest in Sera because she is an Elf that is the only reason he engages with her and with the ancient customs. Sera low key knows this and that's why she makes fun of him for his attempts. Its only when he attempts to communicate with her like a human that she is stumped and fumbles over herself. Sera is a character that represents the common people, the average peasant in southern Thedas is scared of magic and scared of elves. Why do you think city elves are kept in an Alienage? Because they are liked? No because its technically for their protection because common people like Sera don't abide those things. And she doesn't learn or change because again she is both a character and a representation of a demograph of Thedas whose purpose is to keep the Inquisitor down to earth with the people they are crusading for. Which are a bunch of sceptical and closed minded people. But the irony of her character is that she is an Elf one who missed out on so much about her history all because of her dejection.

Tresspasser was the single most bug-free bunch of content i've seen from Bioware, *ever*. And that includes the entire dragon age and mass effect trilogy, so this is definitely just on your end

It's a glitch

It's the particle for the "Elusive" buff, which lets you dodge hits for free. It stays on in Safe areas for some reason.

@@fizzlock like the skill or is it a mod? Because all my rouges have elusive and easy to miss and all that but I've never seen the purple glow

@@DannyRayqu Not the passive skill, it's a buff from the Tresspasser upgrade to Toxic Cloud, lost in the mist. Party members get up to 3 stacks of Elusive (the buff) while in the cloud, which allows them to avoid 3 attacks, and all DoT (fire, poison, even cold dmg from Hakkon DLC) so long as they have at least one stack of Elusive remaining. It's also a mechanic of Isabella in Multiplayer mode

@@mekorobin I think Sera has a thing for femme elf even if she mocks her during their first meeting. She lowkey shoots her shot several times afterwards- tho unfortunately for her I can't resist an Antivan romance when it's presented 🥲 but yeh, I'm sensing a soft spot even if she doesn't like elvish culture.

@@NRV0 They had to give her some sort of Character Arc. She didn't change at all throughout the main game. Though saying sorry isn't much of an arc, it's not like it changed her in any meaningful way. I recently started a new playthrough since DA: Dreadwolf was announced, I didn't even recruit her.

@@evalationx2649 Her saying sorry isn't part of her arc, its just her showing care for you. Her arc involves what she says just prior to that, how shes tired of always waiting for a fight against how 'elfy' shes 'supposed' to be, because it just helps the people trying to put her and people like her down, that she'd rather spend time caring about the people close to her instead. Shes learned to settle and make real relationships and move past her need for self justification instead of just drift from people to people
