My former employer had at the time I worked for him had a 69 University of Pittsburgh racing team Camero. Rodger Penske was involved with that from what he told me. He raced it at Watkins Glen and let's just say that it didn't go well. Brakes gave out and......you can imagine. Always loved seeing that car when he had it in the warehouse.

As a 69 AMX owner I love watching this multiple times. I catch details each time on the car that missed before.

This was not the USRRC race which took place at RIverside in May, 1965. This is the Los Angeles Times GP at Riverside which took place five months later n October. The USRRC races didn't draw the kind of name drivers that the Times GP did every year.

Terrifying track! I lost a Honda CRX (Camaro in the passenger side door) in Big Bend in 1992 (SCCA SSB class). That uphill happened so fast (even in a slow car like the CRX) and the downhill into the Diving Turn scared me both times I raced there!

So this is like a secondary channel for Trans Am.
