Your talking about select media bias, not a universal tax by every media company and unfair views held by all media corporations or third party game publishers/companies . The fact is is there will always be bias or one sided treatment by SOME media, doesn’t make it a tax. Especially when there are examples of the exact opposite like Xbox getting publisher of the year a couple years back on Metacritic.

I’m with you bro. I just bought this on Switch and excited to play. Visuals look amazing, reminds me of the Ori series, and always down for metroidvania games. My next purchase will be Prince of Persia. Played the demo and it was sick, Zau was just a little cheaper.

Hardly anyone played it, and it's not because of the marketing, but because it isn't much of a game. Most people don't want to waste 50$ on a 5-hour-long walking simulator. It might an enjoyable "experience" to some, but objectively, it is a bad "game", and the sales numbers reflect that.

The fact that you're trying to deflect to " but PS games bad too!" when confronted with irrefutable criticism about Hellblade 2 just show how weak your arguments are. You can't refute the fact that this game is a boring walking simulator, you can't call a game good if the gameplay isn't good. It might be a cool story, but the gameplay is trash, so it fails as a GAME, completely.

I’m white and I’m upset that these obvious closeted racists are making it seem like all white people feel this way. Oddly enough, I don’t always like DI, but I could totally see the need to consult a firm if you care to accurately represent the culture of the game. I think these racists are either dumb or playing dumb when it comes to understanding what a DI consulting firm actually does. It’s a firm you hire not a regulatory agency that comes in and turns all your characters black.

My honest question though, it’s a lot of black people not buying it. Is that because of racism? It was only like 243 people playing on steam. That’s a lot of black people not checking on it. I saw a KZbinr streaming it. It looked like another mid metroidvania to me. And one more question is how come Kenyans from Africa not buying it. I would have definitely told them first I was making a game for us. Buy it.

Most black gamers play on PS not steam… if you don’t like metroidvania games that’s fine.. I enjoy the gameplay. Personally my opinion is I think prince of Persia is the better game so far but it’s still a good game

Not gonna lie this all sounds dumb. DEI is important for multiple reasons. Even with DEI white people are still more likely to be hired with equal qualifications. Black people are often denied just based on their name not their qualifications. DEI is important. It forces companies to hire a variety of different people because without it, IT WOULDNT HAPPEN
