where did you get your engine stand? what's it rated for weight wise? got an LLY Duramax i need to tear down and do some things to and send the heads to the machine shop. that looks more then handy for a guy.
@bkgaragerestorationsАй бұрын
I think it came from Princess Auto. I've done a few big blocks on it. That seemed like about as much weight as I would trust it for. No idea what the rating is, I've had it for quite a few years.

Well now I know you in Canada, kinda figured by the napa filter but wasn't sure. I'll keep an eye out at my somewhat local princess autos. Thank you

I would like to, but just don't have the time to do it. I've found just filming pretty well doubles the time spent working on cars. Plus the editing takes a lot of time as well.

Have you tried slowing chopper down to make it easier to bale behind Gleaners. We have S98 and have made some tweaks that make baling alot more enjoyable

@@twinelmfarmsdarryl8806 That would help. I don't bale much straw, so there's no need to drop with the Gleaners.

I once had a 1985 SS Monte Carlo with a 350, but whoever had before me put 305 heads on it and it did make pretty good power. But after beaten on it as one does, I started getting header leaks. Well I come to find out GM had cheapened out and had put press in studs on the block for the headers. Yes, that's right, Press in studs! Man, I thought that was about the sorriest crap I had ever seen. I ended up taking it to a shop and had them thread every single stud hole

How do make sure the pods split early and spill ?
@bkgaragerestorations4 ай бұрын
These varieties have stronger pods that are resistant to shattering, so they can be swathed a little later or straight cut. Other varieties without that trait need to be swathed earlier. Once the plants are packed down in a swath, the wind doesn't shake them enough to cause shelling before harvest. (In most cases. High winds can still cause damage)

How does the stroker crank shaft not push the pistons up out of the cylinders into the valves? Special pistons?
@isaacesch9445 ай бұрын
Yes pistons are specific to different rod length and stroke, the wrist pin is higher in the piston and piston is usually shorter that a standard 350 piston.

You hit it big time with both 65 GTO's . I have looked for one since I was 20 yrs old, and have never found one that wasn't an arm and a leg. Glad to see you will restore them. My old man had one he built in 81 & 82, but like my 78 T/A it was stolen. That GTO is why I am a Poncho fan to this day and I'm 51 now. After kids and now 5 grandkids, I realize, I may never own one, but I can always dream. God bless, will be looking for the restoration process and watching 😊
