Not as simple as that. Many, many people who show competence get passed upon for promotion because the hassle of finding and training a replacement is greater than arranging an outside hire. It’s a massive reason driving the job-hopping “disloyalty” that so many employers complain about.

But you are right, the amount of times i was hoping for a promotion, just for my company to hire external, then the external quit or was fired, and then they rinsed and repeated was kind of difficult to let go of for the remainder of my time there.

The timeline wasn´t made to please the fans, the timeline has been a thing since Aol was released in 1987. Demise isn´t a form of Ganondorf, Ganondorf is an incarnation of Demise's hatred. The hero is always Link. The curse is made at the end of SS. Link is never confirmed killed by Ganondorf only defeated. Navi leaves Link after he is sent back in time. Oot Link is removed from the Adult split he don´t die of old age in the Adult split. Totk Ganondorf is a reincarnation of Oot Ganondorf.
