Good job and I installed the same on my 2016 Gunner but used two of the four gromets on top so only drilled 2 holes per bag. Agree excess bolts and hardware along with extremely long bolts that go into the side of the fender. Question Should we put a lockwasher and nut on the inside of the fender to hold the long bolt or just leave it as is? Thanks

I have this exact car and it’s the best I’ve ever had. Forget the stereotypes..buy a Buick. Too bad they stopped making it. One of the last V6 with great power. Driving on long trips it can get 40 miles mph. So sad they didn’t sell that many. I’ve had it 6 years and have had no problems mechanically. Buy Buick. You won’t be sorry. Rides like a dream.

I have a 2017 LS. Auto Start/Stop feature is such a ridiculously stupid feature. If you have a choice, avoid it. Don't fall for the lines you'll inevitably get from the dealer. It doesn't improve MPG. It isn't at all similar to the functionality of an electric or hybrid vehicle engine. I'm not going to list everything from the "cons" list but just know that it's a red flag of deal breaking magnitude. Don't believe me? Think I'm exaggerating? If anything, I've understated my position. Autostart/stop is solely responsible for the Covid-19 pandemic and world hunger.

Thanks for posting all these videos James. I could sense your frustration in this one, lol. Your in depth track guide was very helpful. I am new to the world of cars on a track, but come from 30 years of racing 125 and 250 Grands Prix bikes. I spent a full day with Peter B. which was a great experience, and got signed off to go solo, which I did this past Sunday. It certainly is different in a car compared to the bikes. I spent a lot of time trying to decide what car to get that would be fun on the track but also be something I could enjoy driving on the street. I also looked at just a track day car, but ruled that out for now, as I will wait a year or so to see how it goes on the track. I looked seriously at a new MX5, but in the end I purchased a 2015 C7 Z51, having been a Vette fan for a long time. So far so good, but I feel the slippery slope starting already! I see you had a Radical and an F2000. Can you share your thoughts on those, and how you ended up in a Spec Miata (a car I have interest in). Thanks again. Cheers.
@JamesBergeron
@JamesBergeron Жыл бұрын
Steve in the end it's all smiles for $$$. Can't beat the Miata / MX-5 in that regard. The F2000 is similar as well it was fairly inexpensive to operate. The Radical cost wise is higher but very fast. Speed == $$$ really. After MANY MANY cars and a lot of years driving I'm now a big advocate for the Miata because it teaches you how to properly drive. Power is a bandaid, most drivers that master a miata can then be very much faster in anything else. Does not work the other way really.

@@JamesBergeron Thanks for the reply. I think you meant you are a big advocate, lol. I agree with the less power to learn. When we used to go out for our race in the 125 GP class, people would go for lunch! Most had no idea how much more skill it took to ride the smaller machine fast, read smooth and consistent. I'm hoping that my knowledge of tracks and racing for so many years helps with my decision to go with the C7, I'll find out after a bunch more laps in the future.

I own 2016 Countryman S Automatic Excellent on fuel economy; my only real drawback is long journeys. Went on 5 hour journey one way two days ago, and my back was killing me when i arrived. Also Mini's attract so much heat in the car, i was also drenched in sweat by the time of arrival. However i averaged 40.4 mpg on my trip there sooooo yea
