Man this was a good movie. Little slow. But sad. The ending. SPOILER!!! He lost his wife a child. And he wanted his car back at all cost cuz it had the last thing from a normal life, his dog. The dog was dead but was in trunk of the car. And he just wanted to find a place to burry him. He literally had nothing left to loose.

How this film passed me by is beyond me ... I was even living in Australia when it came out (it's filmed a few hours north of where I grew up) and I had no idea it existed. Oddly enough, the trailer slipped into my YT feed 9 years after the fact. Bought it. LOVED IT. And I've seen it about 10 times since then. Instantly in my top 10.

@@averyangrygringo6440 it is indeed bleak .... Eric did have a purpose though: to bury the only real companion he had. It was that guy at the end, that didn't flinch when Eric pointed his gun at him. He'd given up completely. I have a theory .... so, it's about Eric getting his dog back, so he can bury him; but along the journey, Rey takes the role of the dog. The way he carries himself the whole time; trotting along after Eric, helping him out ... all of that exhibits dog-like tendencies.

Watched this film today, and afterwards did a little research. In 2015, the year of Trumbo's release, the Marvel superhero film Avengers: Age of Ultron, made 1.4 BILLION dollars. Trumbo made 3.3 million dollars. I'm not suggesting that escapist movies should take a backseat to films of historical or sociological significance, but the percentage comparison between 3.3 million and 1.4 billion is laughable.

Worth to watch for whom love watching action packed movie. Twisted story in due course of chasing drug kingpin 'Papi' by two fed agents is too much exciting. I just love the story and the action.
