This is a 1963 1/2 as the fastback roof came out mid-year. I was a high school freshman that year and my older sister’s friend bought one just like this one. It was a 427 CID with 4 on the floor. He brought it home brand-new, put it into his barn and he and his Dad did major modifications on it. Carburetors? I’m not sure but I believe it had two big 4-barrels. A year or two later I got a ride in the back seat. I’m 75 now and with God as my witness that was the scariest experience I’ve ever known. I saw the tach red-line and the speedometer went well beyond 120. That car was a beast!
