What do you mean? They are so devoted to God, have such great faith and passion then and now. They praise and worship the Lord beginning and ending the service as Pastor Jim's way is cleared before him to deliver his Holy Spirit led message. Then the call to the altar, the Throne of Grace. I love to listen to our brother and Pastor Jim. He walks with God, he is humble and always looks to Jesus for All his needs. I love listening to his exhortations of the word of God, he brings the words to life while encouraging me and my prayer partner Bronwyn in Austealia. We send each other Jim's encouraging words every day. We pray for him and his wife and the whole church and Salvation for the whole world! We are so blessed by God to hear and be part of the Awesome ministry of Jim and his congregation. I love you all with the Love of the Lord. Friends, that battle is NOT eternal. The Victor is already known, and the forces of darkness will cease for ever. The idea that Jesus will have to continue battling them eternally is absolutely untrue and literally heritical.

Here is what is wrong with church from my perspective as an autistic: Forced intimacy - shaking hands in some churches, laying on of hands in others. Performance - all that hand waving, doing actions to children's songs. Public emotion - Needing to show it to prove you are like evryone else and belong here. Conditional friendships - friendship conditional on you buying into everything the church is into. Inability to feel part of it - due to being distrusted for not behaving "correctly" (list above) or not feeling capable of volunteering. Exppecting everyone to agree with everything and if they don't to leave - many autistic people are happy living in the contradiction of not being certain about everything.

I wish I could talk to his guy Craig Johnson. I would love to talk to him about my autistic challenges and my struggles and I would LOVE him to come to my church and try to help them to understand how it’s important to include not just people who are different but children, teens, adults that have neurodivergence but also bring them to their full potential.

35:20 I’m also the middle of the spectrum. But here in Australia there’s just a little difference because they diagnosed me as level 2 autism (which means I need substantial support) there’s 3 levels of autism diagnosis Level 1 autism: don’t need support, has average to very high iQ. Level 2 autism: definitely need support but have a average to low iQ Level 3 autism: can’t function without supports. Extremely low iQ.

12:48 yeah, for me as an Neurodivergent individual (I have autism, ADHD, irlen syndrome, executive functioning issues, processing issues, I may also have seizures). But my seizures are undiagnosed.. I’m sad that I haven’t yet gotten a definitive diagnosis as to if I do have seizures. But the reason I haven’t got to church in such a long is because my church doesn’t always acknowledge my struggles and I zone out very easily and forget what I’m supposed to be listening to. I just REALLY need the help when I’m struggling to keep up with everyone else.
