Was going to dislike for the fact I thought you were going to be analysing and or producing a famous song or something (I've been watching too much Rick Beato lol). I changed it to a like after I heard the end product. While nothings perfect, as a songwriter and guitarist, that bassline does kick ass with the drum change😌. Nice work man keep at it!

Luke, you're good. But what happens after the copy paste? How do you bring the track home? Bridge, melody, lyrics etc.. The world of peoples hard drives is full of nice ideas/loops nowadays. Would be interesting to see a finished project and the process. This is not troll, you have something, you can grow your channel if you offer some real value outside of loops and ideas. Ummmmm this isn't a song yet. It's just backing tracks. A song has melody and often times lyrics. Not bad though as a start. Would be interested to hear what goes over it. I don't really see the point in putting in those rhythm figures and stabs without know what the melody is. Melody is king, the arrangement should follow it. Not the other way around. ;-)

Completely agree! I think the top line is king. I will rework this track to fit whatever the topline ends up being on it. That being said, making an inspiring instrumental, could also inspire a great topline. Goes hand in hand 😁

@@sounds_like_luke Yeah, that can help, but in my experience, I usually end up having to change the arrangement quite a bit once I've got the melody and lyric locked down, as those usually affect the sectioning, transitions, special rhythm figures, etc. To each his own, right? ;-) Hopefully I'll get a notification when you post the completed track.

Thank you! It’s a Fender P Bass. I use rounds and palm mute it with a plectrum. Hope that helps!

Thanks! It sure sounds like a Precision Pickup but it looks like just a single coil pickup? Do you have the specific model of the bass? Or did you swap the pickup?

The official title of the bass is DISC Squier by Fender Classic Vibe Precision Bass 50's, Blue. I didn’t modify anything in it. Came with the single coil! This bass is also about 14 years old for me now
