The trouble with the the GSX-R750RR was that it wasn't special enough, it failed in its primary purpose of being a platform to build a successful race bike on. It was behind the 8 ball from the moment it left the factory, fantastic looking bike tho.

My brother almost boughtt his bike but got Ninja 900 instead lighter faster and he never looked back, and honda was much more expensive and he was never happier. Honda looked great but the original V fours had some issues. He was mechanic at city for the bikes cops rode at that time they hd v 4 honda magnas and left over 1000 kawasakis the hndas all died before much higher mileage kawasaki 1000 cop bikes like on chips.

As I was one in the team bringing "number 2" from its old home in Fredriksberg to Anten 1972 I can tell the move was really dramatic. Stuck in the sand in Fredriksberg, passing a moose by feet, stopped by heavily armed police search for escaping prisoners, in the end falling asleep behind the car steering wheel.. The loco was modified (built for it!) to 891 mm tracks. Number 1 is also in our possession but still as 802 mm, regarde as spare parts store but maybe will be changed to 891 mm and restored....

I took a Beautiful 2nd hand VFR1000R for a 1 hour, 245KPH Test ride in 1987, down a rough section of Highway and twisty Backroad in West Auckland. Mind Blowing Sound/Torque/Stable handling!!!!! Me and the Honda spent 1/2 the time in the Air, It was a WONDERFUL RIDE! I didn't mention to the salesman I could not afford the $10,000 price tag. SO GLAD I took the opportunity when it came, I was 18 and I have ridden 100's of different 'Bikes, the VFR was a STANDOUT! A VERY Special piece of Motorcycle Engineering.

I need one of these in my life!

Bodde granne med Kent när jag växte upp. Var ofta i hans garage i Utby. När jag gick i femte klass hörde jag hur han drog igång sin 125:a. Sprang från skolan med en kompis som var avundsjuk på mig som kände Kent. Ett tag senare skulle han uppvaktas som nybliven världsmästare i samband med en speedwaymatch på Ullevi. Frågade om jag och min kompis ville följa med. En sån dröm för två tolvåriga killar! Ett minne för livet. Så tråkigt att jag aldrig fick tillfälle att som vuxen berätta ett sånt minne han skapade för.
