I had the same issue, Battery post wire brush did the job.

I agree, I bet Franchi is getting some Cerakote overspray on the brake’s threads. Cerakote is tough too, I’d get a tap & die set to clean up the threads if you have access to one.

Just got mine a few weeks ago and the brake was a bit tight as well, it didn’t feel like it was cross threaded so slowly threaded on but think you’re right about the coating. A silencer went on afterwards just fine
