Beautiful abstract, but what is the best paint to use, acrylic fabric paint? Or actual ink? Will it run when washed. Please include this info in your beautiful teaching please, so good.

I use testors model car paint. It works great . All you need is paint thinner for cleaning brushes . It don't peal off but after a long time like over a year of constant wearing it might fade a little , but out of all the jackets I've painted on no one has ever complained.

Hello! I’m a fashion artist based in the UK with extensive experience creating videos on clothing painting. I'm reaching out to explore a potential collaboration-I think we could bring a lot to the table and have a great time working together. Let me know your thoughts.

This is SO CUTE!!!! Pro tip for any newbies out there - you use regular old permanent marker to draw on clothes if you don't have access to other supplies! (It's also a bit easier to work with if you don't feel comfortable with a paintbrush)

Hi i am using fabric paints on my faux leather jacket, but do i need to make a white paint base & then add colour or can i use the colours directly on the sketch i made? Cause i tried colour directly on a small area & yellow colour is looking transparent.

I found that carbon paper didn't show up on denim well enough. Strangely ordinary photocopy paper (cheap 80gsm) actually leaves a white mark when pressure is applied using a pencil. It rips but at least I could see the sketch.

So very useful, thanks! And your art is beautiful...I especially like the advice to start simple, as I have a tendency to get over my skis (get ahead of myself). This time I am setting myself up with practice materials well in advance of when I need the intended item done. I need to mentally prepare to make some messes!

My favorite part of the video was when you gave the gift of your time creating something your daughter likes and seeing her excitement! My youngest son had a project that he had a month to work on and choose the materials for a castle..he had to do a report and label everything. So we picked out materials, poster boards, paints and a week before it was due he changed his mind and wanted to know if I could help him make a castle cake. I was a cake decorator at the time. So we started over! I baked and cut cake shapes at least 10 trips to stores… we used candied rocks along the river that I made with blue gel that flowed under a bridge made of chocolate wafers with black licorice vines as ropes…everything was edible! It was so heavy I had to have help getting it into my car and I called the school to tell the teacher I was 5 minutes away and needed help getting it out of my car and transporting it to his class. When his teacher came out she said A+ 😂she said this was the first edible project she has ever had! I wish you could see all the kids in the hallway drooling over it! So his whole class got cake for breakfast 😂 and there was so much she invited the class across the hall. 15 years later and my son is still friends with half of the kids from that class! And from that point I was always asked to help with school bake sales, cake walks, and other celebrations or functions. Your daughter will have a deep connection with you by inspiring her with your creativity through things she is interested in. Good on you for sharing this video because you are an awesome mom and role model!!!❤

Wow ! Was not expecting this. Dark and deep. My ideas if you don’t know what to design; it depends if it is for you or someone else. Me personally it would be something about my hobby which is a flower gardener. So I would do some of my favorite flowers in a 4 season interest( spring, summer, fall and winter flowers) Spring:daffodils, tulips, irises and muscari. Summer: larkspur, delphiniums, Salvia and hydrangeas. Fall: Mums, sunflowers, daisies and Lillies Winter: poinsettia, hellebores, Christmas roses and snowdrops. My childhood friend since 76 …she’s a gypsy hippie! I would do mushrooms, pot leaves, fairies, pink roses and tie in a compass and a map because she travels more than anyone I know! I am a wall mural artist and my husband is a retired auto body/ painter. So I have experimented with so many products, chemicals and he taught me how to pin stripe and use a detail airbrush, templates. Seriously I love painting everything…my couches, mailbox, garden tools and I turn my husbands work shop into a medieval castle…2 huge shop doors and a regular size shop door- I painted them copper and painted faux iron bars..I think I painted probably over 2,000 faux rivets between the 3 doors and went throughout the shop to tie everything together; it’s been a 7 year project and I’ll be asleep and wake up with another idea and I’m back out in the shop painting! Happy creating you all! Just do you!😊
