She was declawed before we adopted her and wouldn't hurt a fly. Both have since passed from old age.

@@luvabunny She was a cat, she would definitely hurt the guinea pig, even if they don't for years, they're still a cat, and they won't resist their instinct should it kick in, should the guinea pig suddenly run in panic. Always ensure you are present when they interact, when you are not there, make sure the guinea pigs are kept in a safe space away from the cats.

Tho there's frustration when someone else gets the attention..tolerant cat.

@@alexiswaller3065 He is not moving his tail very quickly, in fact sometimes he didn't move it. This is a calmed cat, he just tolerate the guinean pig. Anyway, friendly dogs use to play with these kind of animals, while friendly cats use to just tolerate them, and that's enough for them.

This is a very naïve comment, it's a cat, the instinct is to hunt the guinea pig, it's a rodent after all, never trust the cat around guinea pigs, always be observant and never let them be alone together, it works until suddenly it doesn't.

That's because they're supposed to! It's very natural behavior. They get very important fibers and Vitamins (especially Vitamin C and K) from it. If a guinea pig doesn't eat its poop pellets, it's very likely a sign of a serious condition and should be looked at by a vet as soon as possible. Noted that they have two different kinds of poop, the normal dark pellets you see in their enclosure, and yellow-ish ones they eat, immediately as they come out.

They are caecotrophs, filled with vitamins and protein, it's disgusting, but it's what they do. You're even more disgusting if you don't want use anti-bacterial gel after handling them. It's essential for them, and it should be something you can deal with.

Yeah some info for people eventually seeing this video for the first time. If you don't know declawing cats is beyond fucked up now you know. It's not something like the nail is removed never to grow again. But let's think on that for a second how easy would it be to do everything us humans need to do with no nails whatsoever. Also how much you think that area would hurt? Declawing would be like someone chopping off the first joint on ALL your fingers and toes. If you have a problem owning cats with claws then please do these animals that are way more intelligent than people give credit too, they have brains shaped like ours. Do them the biggest favor you could ever do for them and leave them alone. We bend nearly all land animals to OUR will, look at all the differences between domesticated and wild. The cat however hasn't changed, we have changed a little bit over time though.... So who exactly domesticated who??
