$32 million to run the facility and revenues of $20-25 million per year. If calculated in 2024 dollars, the amount spent on the big O is closer to $9 billion. Does anyone think that the price for the newest roof will hold? Probably close to $1 billion will be wasted. The Professor is correct. It should be torn down and an efficient Facility built to replace it.

What a surprise to find. My 8th Great Grandmother, a Fille de Roi, was Elizabeth Roy or le Roy. Another young lady came to New France, my 10th Great Grandmother, Anne Ledet. She is listed as a Fille Du Marrier or a girl to get married and make babies. Both of these young women came from around Normandy. Anne has many mentions in Quebec history. The progeny of these young women came together with my 6th Great Grandfather, Nicholas Tranchemontagne and passed down from the Soulliere family. Nobody, in the family, ever said a freaking word about this and only because of Ancestry I was able to find out. Oh, and because of the ancestry my cousin is Madonna. Not the Holy Mother of God but the pop singer.

Only thing stopping me from using it in winter is the monthly pass cost, they should include winter bixis in the yearly pass. Right now, year pass just means bixi until mid November, after that it is 22$ a month to occasionally ride a bike in winter. Bit too much imo

It is unfortunate as it was a very revolutionary and futuristic vision. However, in my mind, the difficulty is hiring an architect with little to no experience designing a stadium/roof such as this in such a cold and snowy climate with little to no experience in that climate. Hope it stays and they find a solution.

I learned German and wrote my thesis in German (300 pages) in 5 years. Level 5 is like European B1: you can talk while making 5 mistakes per sentence... Nobody outside North America would think this is a lot to ask.
@DonaldMains

While a B1 level is not super high, it does take some real effort. A person could probably achieve a B1 in 3-4 months full time. But that's full time, if you are student or immigrant it's doubtful you can study 40 hours a week.
