I like those Plasencia cigars but I’ve found they don’t always burn evenly. Great flavor but not always burn correctly

Funny that you are using those Alma Fuertes in this video. I spent the day shopping online thinking about refreshing my cigar collection and possibly upgrading my curent Sistema system but my entire shopping journey that lead me to your video started with me looking at the Alma Fuerte online in the first place.

This is the authoritative guide on humidity. Not only did you give best practices but you explained at the very beginning how RH works. I had to figure all of this out on my own over two decades from using propylene glycol to Bovedas and so many different humidor set-ups. New smokers, this is THE guide.

Thanks for the three step explanation and sharing your experience. I just started using some containers like this, but I will look at the ones that you recommended. I do have a couple electric humidors as well.

Why on earth would anyone buy an electronic humidor that does not have a water reservoir? IF your house has AC you don't need a temp controlled Humidor.

🎉 vary nice. Long videos are perfect for a guy like me that likes not having to go from one to another. I prefer a couple long ones when I'm smoking😊

How many boveda packs do I put in my tupperdor. I got a 65% pack.

New cigar smoker. Never had a tupperdor, so I don't want to ruin the cigars.
@GiantSquid-v9t4 күн бұрын
Typically one 60 size pack for 25 cigars. If your tupperdor is similar to the size he is showing then throw a couple in there. They won’t over humidify your cigars.

Thank you for your videos, they are extremely helpful and informative. I have taken all your steps provided here, but my electric humidor is still blowing cold air. My reading does not read above 55 RH. What else can I do?

So I have the Needone 23L and decided to add the pc fan to it. I ran the fan through the drain hole then taped off the drain hole. My problem is my humidity isn’t equal on each shelf. Any ideas??

Im ordering this tupperware today. I currently have boveda 72 but the tupperware i have doesnt lock or have a rubber gasket. If i keep the lids completely closed...the humidity goes up to 80 so with the new tupperware thinking about using boveda 62 or 65

72 for Tupperdore, way to high, 65 boveda is perfect

Hey AJ. Great video. I picked up my first thermoelectric 23L, got two extra draws, and the electric fan. I’ve got a question. I’ve noticed that anytime there is a power outage, or flicker, the Needone temperature does not remain at the selected temperature. When the power comes back on the temperature setting drops to 64 degrees. Quite the shock to the cigars. I contacted Needone, basically they responded that there is no power backup for the electronics. Have you got a solution? I was thinking a cheap backup power supply dedicated to the Needone and the fan.

I bought one and I don’t know what the problem is. I put boveda packs 72 and they dry up within two weeks. I keep the distilled water try full and the temp set to 72. But my hygrometer is reading anywhere between 50 and 60. I don’t know what else to do.
@jeffbehringer1262Ай бұрын
Honestly if you’re not physically putting the water on the tray itself you can just use tap water. All the crap in the water will stay in the cup. It’s basically naturally distilling from evaporation.

I went with glass bottom containers with lids because I heard bad things about using plastics, even if bpa free. Is this a valid concern? Or am I overthinking.

How did you supply power to the 40mm fan? Did you splice it and went directly into a USB port on the wall outlet? It comes with a 4-pin, just wondering how you changed it to get power. Thanks.

This was a really fascinating video. My experience with cigars is exactly the same as yours. I make a conscious decision about when to smoke cigars and block off a time to relax. If I can’t make it happen then it’s no issue. I can also go long periods of time without smoking them. I’m also a pipe smoker and it’s exactly the same. Glad to hear you were able to stop with the cigs.

I’ve been doing 62% in my acrylic humidor since watching this a month ago and yeah 62% definitely works amazingly well. I only buy 20 cigars at a time so this works great for me. It’s a small acrylic humidor big enough to hold what I get at a time. All I know is I ain’t having burn issues and they taste great

I'm still early in my voyage but the Melanios are one of, if not my favorite, sticks. The hard part is finding what's my shtick (stick). I've finally stopped hiding my surplus cigars from my wife and bought a second humidor cabinet and put my sins on display, but letting them rest for the appropriate time and getting the true essence of the cigar is a problem. Then I watch more cigar content and end up buying more sticks that you all make sound amazing. Maybe I'm too impatient and need to smoke one particular cigar at time rather than smoking a hodge podge of cigars in the same day.

I wrap with a towel too. The AC just coming on can wreak havoc on readings. Temp starts changing and numbers fluctuate. Thats if not in enclosed area.
