I have realised that apart from his quick wit, what I like about Richard is that while he really is an introvert, he also has great confidence. It is so refreshing to see those two traits together.

Richard Osman is truly a UK treasure...I cannot think of a more introspective, witty and fascinating person working in British media today. I've watched many of his interviews/podcasts (in addition to most of his BBC/ITV panel show appearances), and he has taken one of the top spots in my fantasy list of "people I'd want to be my neighbor" list. Just ordered one of his signed copies from your site as a thank you for producing this interesting interview!

Philosophers today know at least two things. 1. Bertrand Russell and Plato were both aristocrats. 2. Plato was the one with fascist ideas. And objectivity in morality compared to subjectivity is the weaker position. Its sophistry and scandalous. Sorry pal gay people cant make the rules for heterosexuals as that is how gays enter the world. We had a word for begrudged people like this guy when we were kids. Gaylord and it fits. This guy talks like a pissed off authority rather than an expert philosopher.

This man seems bought and paid up. It's simple critical race theory as presented to me is a victim hierarchy based on marginalized status and white people are made to look privileged based on their skin colour. It bases merit on victim status and focuses on skin colour. That is covert racism. As far as his puzzle LGBTQ+ were corporate hijacked group to cause outrage and divert attention from class identity movements such as occupy wall street. You sound like a gaslighting propagandist.

In India there is no supremacist nationalism. Indian people are not supporting BJP's religious fanaticism. That's why BJP has fared poorly in the current Loksabha election. Besides will the Westerners lecture us what kind of nationalism we Indians do need ? Can they give us back what they have looted from India and other colonies for centuries ? People whose forefathers had looted exploited the colonies by manifesting their aggressive nationalism, they lecture us about nationalism. Strange !!!

I have to say to you that the world is much more complex than maybe 98% of the world think it is. This election is Not about racist Party vs good Party. It is a Vote for freedom against occupation. Most of the people dont know that, the USA ist not a Free and sovereign country. You and several other countries have been ruled by a small group. Trump is not a racist, He is Independent and if you want to live in an independent country than Vote for him. A Lot of Institutions, media and so on is under their Controll. My dear, unfortunately its the truth, even If Most people think its nonsense. We have been ruled so Long by them. Please wake Up, this is Not about racism. Its maybe our Last Chance, please wake Up. Thank you so very much for sharing this valuable work freely with the public. This topic has been of great interest to me as it has always seemed pivotal to America’s history of slavery, racial segregation and the aftermath of the civil war. This deeply researched work will undoubtedly help us to better understand the structural inequities that contribute to the persistence of bigotry and inequality. Thanks again.

The Holodomor narrative was first promoted during the post WWII era by far right Ukrainian exiles, though. These exiles were from Western Ukraine whereas the famine mostly affected the East. During the Holodomor Western Ukraine was under Polish rather than Soviet rule. They used the Holodomor as a Holocaust equivalent to cover up their own crimes, including involvement in the Holocaust. The Holodomor was a very real famine which did kill millions in for which the Soviet government does bare criminal responsibility. There is not really evidence, though, that it was a genocide aimed at eliminating Ukrainians. The victims were mostly Ukrainians, but also a sizeable proportion of non-Ukrainians in Southern Russia, Siberia, Central Asia, etc. It was the consequence of a combination of drought, the chaos brought about by earlier forced collectivization measures (also a major crime), and government unwillingness to appeal for foreign aid. The Soviet government was trying to sell the five year plan as a success story and this didn't fit the bill. Hence the cover-up. This was in contrast to the 1921 post civil war famine where the Soviet government did ask and did receive Western, mostly US, food aid. People died because they were "only" peasants. Being far from Moscow or Leningrad it was feasible to pull off a cover-up of the tragedy. In Ukraine, the famine would have affected people identifying as Ukrainian disproportionately, though. Peasants would have had a stronger Ukrainian identity when compared to urban populations who were more russified.

@@AndyRosebrook No, I haven't. I have looked into reviews of this book. It might be informative in some respects but I don't trust the agenda of the author. She is an avid defender of the “Pax Americana that accompanied the rules-based world order”. Her posture on Gaza has been one of silence and denial of Israel's crimes. She clearly has no problem with bending the truth and blatant double standards.

It occurs to me, as it probably has to many others, that a natural extension of QFT could imply that the wave function of the Universe may oscillate in an infinite number of possible ways which manifests to us as a distinctly detectable set of Fields, given our ability to detect through our unique Senses. I.e we discern a unique set of fields on the infinite spectrum of possible field possibilities in much the same way we can detect say the minuscule visible portion of the Electromagnetic Spectrum or the range of sounds our ears can detect, etc. If this is correct then the Uncertainty exhibited at the quantum level of investigation is not at all surprising but would be a perfectly natural expected result. We ask the Universe a specific question and it replies, in the only way it knows how, with the following answer…”It depends on what you mean but here is one possibility”. I have purchased Sean's book and have ordered the other 2 in the series so I can become better acquainted with the current state of where things stand.
