Thank you for explaining it for an uneven number. I heard that if you start off with moss stitch then go into stockinette that it helps with the stockinette curl. Is this true?

Thank so simply explained it's a very long time since I've done cable knitting but I've just found an Arran pattern with drop shoulders my kind of knitting I've got four different but all dropped shoulder patterns on the go at the moment all of which I'm making slightly longer which I've done so many time one Arran jumper I did last year I made into a just above the knee dress I've had so many compliments on it I wear it with thick leggings so I'm nice and toasty warm thank you for a reminder on how to do the cable again

The "threading the needle" bit needs more clarity. Also the camera's far too close.

That's amazing! I also thought of constructing one of these from materials I have (lots of cardboard!) and that's how I found your video 😊 The only thing I'm confused about is why do you need to turn the ball as you wind? What do the other winders do that this one doesn't? Where does the offset happen? Is it a slightly different angle of the top cylinder?

So many tutorials teach the alternate cable cast on as if knitting 1x1 ribbing and then rearranging the stitches for knitting 2x2 ribbing. Can you explain why? Your method makes so much more sense. Thank you!

Thanks for the tutorial. I needed something substantial for my Roland Deschain Halloween costume, and an ascot (cravat) looked like it would work. Had to improvise in several spots, but it still looks pretty good (also, I doubt they had a lot of seamsters in Mid-World or End-World, so I think I’ll be okay).
