Beautiful work Dan, I’ve always held the belief the less you have to vacuum the better. Really smooth, this tool would be a life saver at body shops. I’ve been a steady rolladeck user for 7 years and i can honestly say it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. Great tools Dan keep em coming!

Have you tried one? We have hundreds of users out there using who have been using it daily for years. Unlike other inexpensive plastic tools that attach to suction cups, this tool is made of High quality hardened steel and housed in high grade aluminum then powered by a Milwaukee M12 driver. Has anyone ever told ya that your voice sounds a lot like Nicolas Cage...like if you did just a little bit of practice, you could totally fool someone, least me over the phone or a video that doesnt show your face...sorry, dont look much like him, lol, butyou've got the exact same tone and sorta of accent maybe it is, idk, so similar though sort of a trip if ya just imagine Nicolas Cage narrating the video here. I mean I highly doubt the guys ever even had to think about having to replace a car windshield, let alone on a 2000 Toyota Avalon,lol,but that's not my focus here,lol.

Its called Squire by Equalizer. It's square shaped which provides 4 sharp sides. Available through Equalizer industries and their distributing partners

great tool but too expensive should have been designed for existing drill and battery or even electric ,everyone already owns those tools why spend more money , I'm working on one using just that , a drill a pully and a bracket to hook to the pinch weld for the strength
@rolladeckwindshieldsetting7747 Жыл бұрын
Believe me if it was possible to make an attachment that could be sold separately and adaptable to any drill we would have done so. In order for the tool to perform in the matter that it does, the components must be integrated into the milwaukee otherwise there would be a weak link which would cause a failure to function leading to potential damage to the vehicle and a tool which would not work. Good luck with your endeavors

How do you get the line started?
@rolladeckwindshieldsetting7747 Жыл бұрын
On this particular model you can push the line through the bead from the outside in either bottom corner. I prefer the passenger or right side bottom corner. Pull at least 4 feet through so you have enough supply to wind onto the tool, then feed the line across bottom, up left apillar, across top and down right apillar then past the starting point to the passenger wiper post to wrap around and redirect to the anchor cup in the middle of the windshield. When starting from the inside, use a 3' segment of line and push a loop through the lower passenger side and slip the cutting line from the supply spool through the loop about 2 feet of line is sufficient. Then pull the loop segment back into the cab which will bring in approximately 4 feet of slack line to start. You will find detailed instructions and illustrations on how to setup and use our products @rolladeck.net

Compatible with a Milwaukee impact m12 drill or does it need to be a normal m12 drill? And how decent is it on pulling quarter glasses?

Excellent tools make for flawless removals, impeccable work Dan. I don’t have this tool yet but I did purchase the rolladeck about 6 years ago and I use it all the time. It’s especially useful in the summer when it’s 100 degrees outside and you have no shade to stick the windshield under, now I just leave it in my van with one cup on the passenger side top corner. I literally take the windshield from my van to the vehicle for the set and that’s it, I hardly use my rack anymore. Love it when tools are invented and perfected by technicians who actually do the work those are the best tools

Can a poor installation job of a new windshield cause the drivers floor to be wet ? I have same vehicle
@rolladeckwindshieldsetting7747 Жыл бұрын
It is possible but it could be other issues as well. Such as clogged sunroof drains or clogged cowl drains. I would recommend contacting a reputable repair shop in your area

I have the same issue.. when you check out the schematic the leak is a Honda defect. They say it is the black trim on the Hood. However, not all Honda dealerships have leak detection.

Takes me about 3 to 5 minutes with both types of tools. Only difference is with a reciprocal saw tool like the one I believe you are referring to adds more prep time with cleaning and priming the chisel marks left in the metal and makes my arthritis in my hands flare up from the vibration.

Hi, is it normal that the car cowl s not sitting flush to the windshield glass? Should there be a gap between the cowl and windshield glass? Thanks!
@rolladeckwindshieldsetting77472 жыл бұрын
If the cowl is warped and deformed from the elements and age, it is possible to have gaps between the panel and the glass. It is also possible that the glass is "decked" too low allowing for a space. Many automakers utilize depth setting blocks to prevent "overdecking" when fitting the glass. If they are removed and the installer doesn't use a high viscosity urethane to control the decking height, then this can also result which may also leave gaps between the glass and side molding trim as well.

Rammer Jammer for me thank you. I would have had it out before you were done setting up your string.
@rolladeckwindshieldsetting77472 жыл бұрын
I have a set of Rammer Jammers that I also use regularly too. I'm pretty good with them myself. Don't you hate it though when you are pulling a quarter for a blend panel and your blade pops out and scars the paint and the shop now has to blend color to that panel? Doesn't happen often but it can. Not everyone is as skilled with those types of tools as you are. It's good to have options.
@someguy94712 жыл бұрын
@@rolladeckwindshieldsetting7747 I agree the more tools you have the better. Especially with body shop work, so what if it’s faster to use a rammer jammer it won’t be faster if you cut the encap molding on the glass or gouge the paint. Besides the idea isn’t just getting the glass out, it’s also to limit scratching even the scratches you’ll never see because it causes rust and makes the body guys work harder. Its nice to cut a quarter glass out without having made a mark on the paint underneath it.

What line do you use? Mine seems to break pretty easy. TIA
@rolladeckwindshieldsetting77472 жыл бұрын
In this video we are using Equalizer Squire steel wire. The reason is when fiberline comes in contact with a sharp edge, it will easily snap. When removing glass that is just cracked, we use Swift. Fiberline.

I would have loved to see the setup. The initial getting the wire through. Wrapping it around. Etc. I've seen a few of the usage videos, I am impressed, and that part seems straight forward enough. But with limited experience on only 1 other manual/ crank wire tool, the setup is what will eventually sell me I'm sure.

@rolladeckwindshieldsetting77473 жыл бұрын
I reuse them all the time. Same as any other R&I. If you fail to save the pins on a quarter glass R&R do you replace it? If you choose not to reuse it that's fine. This tool will also spare the paint and body surrounding the glass part.
