The Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail (TWAT) was created by off-road motorcyclists for use by other off-road motorcyclists. Not for ATV riders or truck drivers. Please drive elsewhere. Related, the Trans Illinois Trail (TIT) was likewise created for off-road motorcyclists only. Thanks.

When you installed this, did it weigh the rear down? And did you have to lift the rear to "even" it out? We have two Foresters I'm wanting do this to. We have a 2009 and a 2020. You think I will also need to "even" it out if I add this to the rear? Your Forester looks awesome!

I dont believe in snow tires unless you are in constant snowy roads . Once they are dry and plowed the handling characteristics are atrocious

In the 1970s we were allowed to run studded tires. What a marvelous invention except it was hard on the concrete road surface.

All terrain tires okay on snow but don't work well on ice. Ice slip is caused by water film that's created due to pressure, which increases temperature. My RWD sports car can climb up ice sheet inclines with winter tires when AWD SUVs on all-seasons tires struggle. Winter tire compounds have abrasives mixed in (eg, ground walnut shells) to grab ice. They also have many more sipes that channel way pressure melted water that cause slip.

If you are ever in this situation, a plastic jar of sand spread ever so thinly on the ice makes an amazing difference in traction. Worth keeping a peanut jar full of sand in your trunk for just such a situation.

I have a 2017 Outback (purchased Dec. 2016) and never used X-Mode until Yesterday (1/18/24)! Wow! It really works! I have just all-season tires (here in Connecticut). Suspect my next car will be another Subaru!

FINALLY- someone on here that knows the difference between WET and POWDERED snow... I've had so many on here-- IT"S SNOW either way- yes- true- but WET SNOW IS NOT "just" snow-- it's a PAIN IN THE ASS waiting to happen.. Powder is almost NOT like snow- as it doesn't STICK and cause the issues wet snow (and ice- which it quickly becomes)..will do.

Hehe! Boys and their toys. I do the same experiments in the winter. I’m actually super impressed how the Subaru handles this. A+. I had the KO2s on my truck and, while they performed amazingly on loose dirt, gravel and sand, I found them more than disappointing in snow, ice, mud and even just wet road surfaces. I think they are tailored towards Baja style environments. I switched them for a set of Falken Wildpeak A/Ts and started pulling cars out of ditches for fun 😊

I don't have a dedicated snowtire, but I did throw some Michelin Crossclimate 2's on there which are 3 peak mountain snowflake rated. Difference has been insane in winter. Never going back to a regular all season tire.

Why all americans use those GARBAGES "gopro", just because letters "pro" in the name, or what? Does exist even some chinese no name which record better and have decent af and battery last longer. Not to mention other registered brands. All of you choosing those "gopro" by a man which have nothing in common with video domain .let me perplex. Mediocre image and Horrible sound.

Rubber is no match for ice no matter what drive system your vehicle has your gonna lose. THAT'S WHY THEY MAKE HOCKEY PUCKS OUT OF RUBBER!!😂😂😂 So unless you have some sort of traction tires like Blizzaks or studded tires you're not going to get far without getting stranded. 🙄 Studs are essential for places that get the occasional ice storm like in the Pacific Northwest👍

So South Bay Florida to Vancouver BC is 3500 miles and 3500 back = 7000 miles. 6000 miles would have to be 4 round trips from Canada to Mexico and back 4 times.
