It's unsettling how every aspect about Raiden is being ripped away. Everything he believed himself to be. Even the most personal connections he has turned out to be fabricated. When everything that makes you you is taken away, what's left? Do you even exist anymore? What Raiden is put through makes me believe MGS2 isn't a stealth game but a horror game. Existential horror.

This part of the game freaked me out as a kid. Everything unravels and i found it both terrifying and confusing.

It's a shame that out of all the monster's the only ones worth using are: Dragon, Rich Demon , Nightmare, Galactic Demon, Sea Serpent, Manticore and Great Wyrm And that is only because their skills bring either elemental coverage or many patterns. Problem is that only Dragon, Manticore and Nightmare are easy monster to get started and train where everything else is pretty much post game. Even more sad is that the only monsters that hold their own against humanoid classes are Galactic demons and Great Wyrms. Great Wyrm because they are such fantastic crowd control units and Galactic Demon because they are the best Tanker in the game and the only class that can Rival Majin's in Power because extra high defenses tends to perform better then a mix of high defense and HP.

I like how everybody is trying to make sense of the gene concept but the whole point of mgs1 is that you’re more than just your genes and you’re more than what you are made for making this whole gene concept useless
