I try Guinness every ten years in hope I will someday be able to drink one I’m 42 now and I’ve been trying since I was a kid lol

@@christophermacmillan7438 It took me a good few years. Around 35 I reckon. I was the same with Whisky. In the end I booked a trip to Scotland and said if I didn’t find one I liked I will never drink it. With about 200 different single malts on offer… it worked. I now know I like Sherry casked whisky and not the peaty stuff.

@@dancfrench I was hesitant at first but after I tried it using the Guinness surger I get zero bubbles on me head after the pour and the taste is close to perfect I’ve been to a couple Irish pubs and I make a better one at home using the pin 📍

I've done a 45° pour for years with lager/ale/cider. Only recently tried guiness and its safe to say sometimes the 45° doesnt allow the nitrogen/co2 to work... sometimes there are no bubbles. I do a hard pour but outside the glass letting it pour straight down. Perfect every time. I'm amazed at how nice guiness is 😂

@@tinofpeaches2110 I genuinely think it makes a difference. I put them round the house too. Although someone’s just told me I need to drill holes in them as well so might give that a go.

@@tinofpeaches2110 I'm in England. The spider world here in October is horrible if, like me, you're afraid of them. I don't actually mind them in the garden (where they belong) but they start to come indoors to shelter in the warm around this time. We have the Giant House Spiders which can grow to 10cm, they're the worst, and False Widow Spiders this time of year. Sector Spiders are also common but they're quite small (I can almost deal with them).

@@dancfrench we call them concurs here up in Scotland. Well I’ll be out to give them a try and let you know how I get in bro. I don’t mind spiders too much up until I have one on me, then I’m glad I wore my brown pants too… I used to be very afraid of them but then I kept seeing memes of little spiders in lovely hats and that turned me round a little bit. I haven’t looked into what spider are here, big cluckin house spiders for sure. My cat likes to hunt the ones in the house so that’s nice, she has a chew on them and spits them out in front of me it’s morbid but nice of her i guess

There would be no reason to buy nitrosourge if normal cans were 558ml, it would look perfect, but instead the glass isnt full. Thats why i bought nitrosourge. It can go over the glass, build nice foam. The glass is full now, but i find the device sometimes pouring shite, unless fully charged or beer very very cold. I also washed the device before first use, like everything else you dont know where its made. Nitrosourge is the same price as normal cans in ireland. 8x15, nitrosourge 10x20, but if you add extra from each can, you pay extra 5 for 11 cans.

@@dancfrench when i mentioned price i meant ireland. And 440ml cans in uk make tha glass even more empty. Why did they make 440? I think asda in uk has bigger cans of draught guinness i see online as " new" look for them

I couldn't film & pour at the same time and so the top of the can kept getting into contact with the Guinness. I still do it like this, although I have got a Nitrosurge as well now.

No, this is a not how u pout a can of Guinness. Guinness has came out with hundreds of different video tutorials over the past decade and you supposed to do the 45 degrees angle smoothly all at once.

It's a 500ml can... A pint is 568 ml or 569... But if you not from Ireland it's probably a 440ml can and I feel sorry for you lol

@@dancfrench I dropped AUD$80 on two 440ml glasses tonight, my wife didn't understand. They were the cheapest I could find anywhere online, it's such a strange decision by Guinness to sell the idea of a pub pint at home, yet they don't offer cans big enough to give an accurate experience.

My uncle went to the Guinness factory in Dublin where they give you a tour and show you how to pour, and apparently the “correct” way to pour is a 45 degree angle slowly and then quickly at the end to get the head. 🤷🏻

Yes, that was exactly how I used to do it, even out of cans. Somehow you seem to get less bubbles doing it this way once it’s settled. I love the Guinness Brewery. Time for a return trip I think - and a proper pint of the black stuff.
