The company I am working right now requires everyone working from home to keep log and count the minutes we do on each task. If they do not trust employees then they should ask all to come back and work from office. Why bother making us working from home.

Agreed. That seems very tedious both for the company and the employees. It would be much more efficient and empowering to simply track results or outputs, and to treat employees like adults who can be trusted to honor their roles.

Exactly f*** s*** Mart. I was fired for not finishing someone else's job. First, he wanted to fire me for using ppto because you're leaving early because your mouth hurts after having dental surgery, so I stayed had to do someone else's work left right when I was supposed to and he fired me because of performance And I was To focus on leaving early because I couldn't finish someone else's job after getting all my s*** done, for context, I'm a night stocker...Well was

One thing I find helpful, when it applies, is to refer to an issue as 'Our' issue, not just 'Your' issue. You don't want to take unnecessary onus, but It can help them feel like they have a partner with you/the company.

Thank you. That's what i am exactly doing. All my projects can be totally tranperent viewed by all others and my boss. I referred so often to my project planner but others ignore that/laughing at me. There are even some that don't know how to look at that (offering to look together at that planner were also ignored) What can i do? I am also constantly overloaded. 😢

Have you sat down with your supervisor to look through what's on your plate and explain how you are feeling? Sounds like it's time to ask for some support before you burn out.

I’m going through a similar situation. Sometimes I feel there is nothing you can do. This person feels threatened by you for whatever reason and you will not change their mind. I don’t promote being an ass kisser. This is exactly what some of these managers want you to be. I’m here to do a job.

Regardless of the company. Management will always deviate with your concers and even put burden how you act on your plans instead of understanding your work overload. The mental advocacies of the company is just plain advertisement.

I'm all about giving grace to people. But folks know that when you have a job, you are expected to be on time & there as scheduled. These same people knew to show up to their interview on time so.....why don't they know to come to work on time? Also, if that same person waits for a co worker to relieve them, they understand what it's like. So I'm not convinced they are not aware. They know what their doing. We live in times where people don't care.

I guess you can even try one-sided care for a month or two and see whether it makes any difference to the relationship. It may bring about change in their attitude, but it may even change your perception of the person... As you take more time to listen to their views and concerns etc.

Do you have advice for dealing with irrational people? If this manager just sees the world through a wacky frame of reference, couldn't such a "sit down" just make things worse? I like a lot of the materials in the (A)DR field, but there is little about what to do with people who are just... out of touch entirely.

That is a very tough situation. In these cases, the last effort before totally separating from that relationship, would be to get extremely detailed and specific about what happened or is happening. See if you can, at least, agree on objective events.

That's not it happened. King Solomon said, "You both claim to be the mother. Whoever is the real mother, I will cut in half. You, are you the mother?" "Yes", your highness, she said.
