I’ve caught pieces of the history on this Cord. To find most of the original parts to finish the rebuild of rolling art is just amazing! Amelia acquired this vehicle not long before she disappeared. I hope maybe one day we will have the answer to her disappearance.

I owned a car identical to this, sold new in Davis CA. There was more than one--or this is the car I used to own. Was a nice unrestored car, I still have pics of it

The car appears to be an original 1935 Auburn 653 which has been converted to look like the more glamorous 1935 Auburn 851 Boattail Speedster. This is typically done by retaining the front clip of the car and putting on a fiberglass body from the windshield backwards. A telling feature is the dashboard panel is incorrect for an original Auburn 851. There are other differences but you get the idea. Still a great looking car nevertheless which I am sure is thoroughly enjoyed

In the early 90s me and my brother had 69 Camaros my brothers was red and mine was a blue z/28 replica with white stripes. Back then there was no internet but some how we got our hands on a book that could decode the vin on 60s Camaros. Mine was an original 307 ac car and my brothers was a 350 car but wasn’t an ss. I ended up selling mine to a family member for 4500 you can’t get a rusted body with a title for 4500

Looks like we're returning to the 60's when custom cars stopped trying to improve on the looks of the originals and focused more on doing as many modifications as you can no matter how ugly the final outcome was. This car will not age well with it's ugly turbo setup and OCC style rear fenders. Compare it with the Grand Master from 2002 which still looks great 20 years later.

After I purchased a 76 with 9988 original miles in less than desirable conditions in a barn my brother in law sent me this one. What an amazing piece of automotive history. Is there a actual video of it anywhere? This gets me excited to get mine cleaned up and running.
