And now the war is down, the Marxists frown. There’s foreign shops all over town When in Red Square, well don’t despair There’s Levi’s and McDonald’s there The Blue Faces gave us crystal meth And Yeltsin drank himself to death But now that Putin’s put the boot in Who’ll get in our way? soviet translation: «А теперь война окончена», - хмурятся марксисты. По всему городу есть иностранные магазины На Красной площади не отчаивайся Там есть Левайс и Макдональдс Синелицые дали нам кристаллический метамфетамин. Actually this song is pretty innacurate and clearly comes from an anti-communist percpective. The reality is that is really doesn't make any points about actual communism because there aren't good arguments against it. By the end scene, it really only leads back to the far overplayed "no food" point. It's only other real point is not based in reality and is contradicted itself. "Pointless pay" because like 30 secs later they say "i've got plently of gold" so that makes very litle sense. The no food argument is in reality just a load of nonsense. One because it ignores that capitalism can have economic collapses (like the great depression for example, which was arguably worse) and that it really only happended under the leadership of people like gorbachov, who wanted to "liberalise" the USSR to make it closer to the western power. Entering into one-sided trading deals for example. This didn't work because western economics are nonsense and rely on most people failing and being on the bottom (like a pyramid scheme) so applying parts of that to an economic system based around complete economic fairness (communism) was a terrible idea. And also that the USA especially but other western powers as well would completely refuse to ally with something they didn't even understand. So even if the USSR went full capitalist (which would have only led to things getting far worse, i mean look at modern Russia) because the average american has no idea what communism is but has been told to hate it, nothing would change.
