Rest in peace Billy Miller. You were a fantastic actor and hilarious to boot. You were very talented. On GH, Billy Miller was hired to be a Jason Morgan recast in 2014. His version of Jason had amnesia and a new face due to plastic surgery and then little by little, he starts showing Jason’s mannerisms and everyone finds out he’s Jason in 2015. He gets his memories back in 2016 and things are going great. Suddenly he’s not Jason anymore when Steve Burton returned (although I love Steve Burton and am not hating on him at all) in 2017. A rewrite turned Billy Miller’s Jason into Jason’s identical twin brother, Chief Andrew Cain, a Navy SEAL who was a decorated war hero. Again, I love Steve Burton as Jason but I also love Billy Miller as Jason too. I’m a fan of both actors. Once they gave Steve Burton his role back and gave Billy Miller the newly created role of Jason’s twin brother, Drew, they should have had Drew put aside his initial anger at Jason over the whole twin swap. Drew definitely had a right to be angry and feel betrayed, but his anger was misplaced. However, how would anyone else react to finding out your memories belong to someone else and your REAL memories are buried underneath the false memories you were given to make you believe you were someone else? I feel like Billy got screwed in the end because they didn’t write for him, they didn’t give him a new love interest after breaking him up with Sam and they refused to give Drew’s memories back to him. They also should’ve had Drew take down Shiloh because Shiloh was originally introduced as “Hank”, a man from Drew’s past. Then Cameron Mathison takes over the role in 2021 and he played out Drew’s return perfectly, plus he definitely had potential, but they ruined him this year with the whole Nina/Willow mess. Cameron Mathison’s Drew is NOT the same version of the Drew that Billy Miller played. Nothing against Cameron Mathison either, it’s the writing that’s ruining Drew this year (2024) because Cameron Mathison had potential when he first came on and when his Drew worked with Sam and Dante to take down Peter and Victor (2022)
