We just have bidets you install below the toilet seat. That’s maybe what they meant. I still use tp, just a looot less btw. So it doesn’t really solve purchasing a consumable so much as it makes it nicer and use less tp

@@flooshoomoo7104 agree - I don’t think it removes 🧻 in most peoples houses completely. In the U.K. our homes are really very small in comparison to large parts of the world - most bathrooms are around 6ft by 6ft in most new build homes, you simply can’t even fit a bidet in. They’re not all that popular here, yes there’s the fancy toilets, but that would mean a refit - which would be a bit daft to do just to save on loo roll. I think ROI wouldn’t make sense. The whole thing made me laugh though so it’s all good 😊

Watching your video inspired me more after being a minimalist for eight years but the last part really made me laugh about the bidet. I live in a row apartment with bidet but I still buy toilet paper every quarter of the month. I don't wear make ups and lipstick for decades aside last December 2023 that I bought a mascara and a lip/chic tint when graduated from practical nursing course. But yeah, I love watching your videos. I barely comments on videos, unless they are really inspiring for me. Thank you for sharing.

@KirstyKirby2 ай бұрын
I find it really odd how many overseas viewers ask questions about ‘feminine products’. It’s not a cost that would be at the forefront of my mind. Unless I had a chronic illness or condition, most people in the U.K. in my age group wouldn’t be paying for prescriptions in a normal year - I haven’t bought medication for well over 5 years. Thankfully I’ve been blessed with good health thus far so no need for medicine. As for food I covered this in the first minute or so of the video. Did you watch at all or just write of your dissatisfaction at the video title before listening to the premise of a no buy year? A ‘no spend’ or ‘no buy’ year isn’t something I made up, it’s a concept that has been around for some time with multiple videos from other creators predating mine. No deception involved in any way.

I wanna do a nobuy for the rest of 2024, im not sure i will make it but i really hope so! I did do a nobuy month last year but a month is a lot easier than half a year! It's just so easy to do impulse purchases! In just the past few days I saw like 3 things I kinda wanted to buy but didnt need at all, luckily i didnt buy them, but ive bought so many other things in the past few weeks... its crazy! There are still things I want to buy, but i hope i can save it for later... Rules: - I can still buy things I need, and I can go out to eat with friends and family - I can still buy skincare products and gifts for others - I cannot buy more clothes, apps, souvenirs for myself, and other unnecessary things Wish me luck :)

Savings most definitely gives you choices. Not long ago I walked from a lower paid job that I thought might make me happier, but was the cause of other unhappiness due to the numbers simply not working with cost of living rises. The hours meant applying for other jobs and attending interviews was almost impossible, so I left, focussed all my time on getting a new job which I now really like and the numbers work much better for me - my point being it's just great to have options and saving gives you just that :) I'm so pleased to read you are happier now

Yeah. OK. So you didn't buy FOOD to eat? So you starved and didn't eat or you STOLE FOOD? If you didn't buy anything, did you pay your rent. Or are you married. Cause if you're married, that doesn't count because you, you would need to buy something you would need to buy water. You would need to buy something if you live alone and you don't have any family, you don't have anyone to depend on I guarantee you. You have to buy something if you're a woman and you're on your period you gotta go buy pads or tampons unless you stole them or someone just gave them to you and who gives tampons to people nobody. Nobody gives tampons for free. They give homeless people food, but if you're bleeding and you're homeless. Oh well, don't tell me that you didn't buy anything. It's a bunch of bullcock

I didn’t make up the concept of a no buy year. There are tons of videos prior to mine outlining what it is. Yes I bought food. I make this very clear. No I’m not married. It would be a very strange video to say I didn’t buy things because I’m a completely kept woman. Why are you so obsessed with periods? This is your second comment talking about menstrual pads. Why are you so angry? It’s just a KZbin video. Treat yourself to a nice walk, maybe some ice cream and a lie down.

@@Aneedanothaone I don’t think any headphones will get rid of impact noise from the base of dance music or the impact of thundering feet I’m afraid. I think we perhaps have different types of neighbours. I appreciate your suggestion but I promise I’m not the sort of person to moan about something and not try to rectify / implement management strategies. Not sure where you are in the world, but there’s pretty much nothing you can do about inconsiderate neighbours here, no neighbourhood schemes or committees. Moving because of crap neighbours isn’t that uncommon, especially as if you make a complaint to any authority you have to disclose this to any future buyer (which of course would mean no one except maybe a developer would buy)

@KirstyKirby3 ай бұрын
@@Aneedanothaone ah I see. You can complain to the council here about noise but they only do something about noise between 11pm and 6am. Anything outside of that they don’t really do anything, plus you still have to declare this if you want to sell your home, if you don’t you can be sued. There’s lots of forums from people talking in the U.K. that they just don’t bother complaining as some people can’t be reasoned with, easier to just move. Unfortunately there’s quite a lot of very inconsiderate entitled people.

I have drastically reduced my spending on some items by doing a major declutter and reorganisation. I went through my shoes and clothes, donated or dumped what didnt fit or what had come to the end and put everything back in order in the wardrobe. I was so shocked at how much i had. If i literally wore everything for a day, i wouldn't run out for nearly 2 months! By having everything, even my socks in order i know at a glance what i have and what i use most. I am going to avoid buying more of these untill i have reduced them down to a reasonable amount. Having toiletries etc in order means that when i shop i can picture their drawer/shelf when i shop and remember that i have enough and dont overbuy.
