I used the large pumpkin sign from Dollar tree and then glued the hat over the stem that way you can make him really fast and you will not have to cut anything. I change him out too. Valentines 💝 🐣 Easter you can do Fall scarecrow and all the seasons just make his nose changeable and maybe velcro back on it or maybe double sided tape. And the hat you can c9ver with like a wheat hat or tobogen. Let me know how you fair. He is a ton of neatness. I change his clothes and Wreath and lights just tons of fun dolling him up for holidays. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ⛄️

Very cute! When I was a child our Mom made a Christmas tree wall scroll advent calendar out of felt. She cut out 25 felt ornaments that she drew herself. At the bottom there was four pockets. With three kids every day one of us got to pick one and attach it with a pin. I know the idea of doing that with kids now is scary but it meant so much to us. I think I’m going to try and make one just like hers for next year. I appreciate homemade decor a lot. Kids today do not. I buy each one of our nephews and niece an advent calendar every year. It’s like $120! I want to ask if I can make them one but I don’t think they will be happy about it. Anyways, adorable Christmas tree man! Have a great week!

Oh this is such a wonderful story and what a loving treat. I would have cherished this as much as you. My mom handmade many things for Christmas so I too got the fever to handmade things. I can tell you that all nieces and nephews and everyone already knows that my gifts are made by me like it or love it. They keep them too. So you make them gifts and especially the advent calendar they will charish it i promise. Merry Christmas xxxooo 🌳 🎅 ⛄️ ☃️ ❤️ 💙 💜

Has anyone used string instead of fabric, that could roughly give an estimate to how much string/twine you need to cover it? 😊
@dandydiyer19 күн бұрын
The dollar tree Spools of jute about one. If it's the rolls in the 3 pack I think it took almost all 3 it was more or less 2 1/2 to cover. Cover it with the string because 2 reasons, 1 it's what your heart desires you only live once it's just a fraction to pay to bring you great joy. 2 if there should ever come a time you can just unwind and reuse the jute twine. Now go to girl you got this. Wind your string and I already know how beautiful it will be. I keep my star up year round it goes with every occasion. It's on my front door inside as I type. 3rd Reason is to remind you of the star that made you his star... Precious Jesus. Merry Christmas and Happy Thanksgiving! Xxxooo

@dandydiyer22 күн бұрын
Yes I use a putty knife to slide under them and they come off easily or a cake knife or spatula. A putty knife is best it's what I use, you can see in the first part of the video. Be careful because once you push under the finder or rail it will slide under fast. Xxxooo

Actually you don’t need any sort of special canner just a simple water bath canner you can use to can EVERYTHING..All over the world people only use water bath canners..the Amish only use water bath canners and we did to until the government stuck their nose into it and deemed it unsafe..it’s obviously safe or people all over the world that water bath can wouldn’t be alive or our ancestors..not trying to be cocky just trying to spread the word that no one needs to buy any special equipment you can even use your stock pot with a lid as long as it’s deep enough where the water covers the jars by a inch.
@dandydiyerАй бұрын
You are on top of it, yes. When comes to longterm like years the pressure canning will retain that, the water bath generally acid free foods degrade faster turn colors loss flavor by that amount of time. You are right, water bath canning is the original method and still most used. I still use depending on the food, trusting Ball Canning Book. Thank You every tip helps the channel. xo
@Fritz0616Ай бұрын
@@dandydiyer ~I need to research for myself as my understanding the Amish water bath everything even long term food storage. I’m a rebel canner so the Ball book means nothing to me as a trusted source but to each their own. People need to know that using a water bath canner is really all that is needed other then the jars. .Thank you for allowing me to keep my comment posted as most dont believe in any other methods and only trust what the USDA tells us.

I have a polo shirt that I am working to make a memory pillow, but I am having issues with the collar and the piece that is added to cover the inside. I stitched from one end of the collar to the other end and I have to much of the inner piece. just exactly how far should I sew the insert.
@dandydiyerАй бұрын
Only sew collar to about the area of the collar bone. Review video beginning video at 7:43 to place collar and sew stops. On the video you'll see where to sew down the insert afterwards. You should be able to remove the other stitches up to that point. Go back and listen to video to help. Let me know how it goes. Remember to stitch in the ditch of collar. I have added chapters to the video so you can touch/click on this 7:43 to go directly to that section of the video.

How do you attach the head?
@dandydiyer2 ай бұрын
When you have your arm strings intersect and the string for the body place a knot on the strings per each. Now take those three strings add the 2 or 3 neck yo yos, next tye a knot, this will secure neck yoyos. Attach head by running each string to head at or about where the neck should meet those few yoyos. The Larger collar yoyo will conceal the strings, just be sure to pull it firm but not tight. If you pull and tie the strings to tight the head will be in place but the puppet will lack mobility, so be sure to rock the head and tie a knot once you've got the head in place before tying the string off and clipping away any string tail. Enjoy the process and this will make so much more sense when you begin making it and assemble your new yoyo puppet. I promise. Let me know how it goes and any questions you may have to. 😃

Girl, I got rid of stuff the first time my husband went into rehab. When he came home. He never even noticed that all of that stuff was gone. And hopefully, maybe he never asks about it. It’s been since June since I decluttered. He has been home again for like a week now. And he still hasn’t noticed anything gone. If he has. He hasn’t mentioned it. I don’t think that he will ever use that stuff again. And if his health gets tremendously better and wants it back. Then we will rebuy it. But right now, I’m glad we have space back. But, his health equipment is now taken up most of that space. So I’m really glad that I got rid of all that stuff or otherwise we wouldn’t have room for his equipment.

Taking the clothes off the hangers and placing 🎉them on my bed or on the floor is usually as far as I go. The category of does it fit with the answer of no turns out to be the largest pile of clothes. My “keeper” pile turns out to be extremely small. A pair of pants or two and maybe five or six tops. Pitiful! The way I enlarge my “keeper” pile is to use a large rubber band to run through the buttonhole and hook the button. This trick gives me a number of extra pants. After all this, I just put everything back where I found them.
