This is 1985? I guess she never saw the Jeffersons, All in the family, Good Times, Sanford and son, the Cosby show, Different Strokes, What's Happening, Webster, Benson, Gimme a break, 227, Flip Wilson, etc. etc, etc. Plus there are many shows including the love boat she mentioned where Isaac was the black bartender and a main cast member, I have seen episodes of shows like the Twilight Zone in the late 50's/early 60's where there were episodes with black actors/character. What about Star Trek 1966-69 Uhura was one of the top 5 characters on the show. It's ridiculous when you realize this is the genesis of modern crybaby race hustling industry. So, is she saying there were more whites than blacks on TV? Well, pick the year she is talking about and look at statistics on race. In the 50's the country was 90% white so wouldn't it make sense if 90% of the actors were also?

I searched for this video. I remembered it as being more memorable than this and more funny. Its not all about humor. Its about a deeper issue in some black children. I didn't recall her going so deep into broken childhood language. It was a bit cringe for a while there. Interesting performance concept and look at the harsh reality and real aspirations of some black young girls wanting different hair, skin and eyes. But, the show was not as I remembered it. It seemed lacking in something. The lil girl was too harsh, too extreme- yet semi believeable.
