I tried Vueling very recently & it is a C+ airline, with room for improvement. Firstly, if not for the lead flight attendant's excellent professionalism and correcting his rather rude "underling/charge" flight attendant, I'd not have gotten the privilege to pay for a bite to eat. So bravo to the lead flight attendant who made a great presentation on behalf of Vueling and F for his coworker/charge who was curt and said "we already passed through with the trolley"; I'd chalk this rude behavior up to a real lack of experience. However, the worst part of the Vueling experience was not in-flight but rather at the baggage carousel. The London Gatwick bags were sent to carousel 11 at Barcelona. I and another passenger, a young woman as well as a family of five, along with others from that flight, waited and waited and waited for our luggage. To make a long story short, and after several interactions with Vueling Lost & Found adjacent to carousel 3, as well as an airport attendant, and after being told "just wait; more is coming..", I spotted my luggage at a distant carousel, not labeled London Gatwick, and the others who, from my flight also missing their luggage, the young woman and the family of five, found their luggage at the same distant carousel. This was 3.5 to 4 hours after landing and only because by chance I spotted my luggage at the wrong carousel! Had I not spotted it, we'd all have been at the airport even longer than than the 4 hours that day. So will I fly Vueling again: doubtful...

Excellent.... best place to sit? Would think view obstructed by engine if you sat further forward... do they still fly to city?

Thanks Richard. Perhaps slightly, I chose to sit to the rear of the aircraft precisely for this reason. Best row is likely the exit row toward the back as the seating is a little cramped. Personally I always prefer a solo seat when travelling alone. They do indeed still fly to city too!

No Vuelling is not better than BA, not even close. I personally like Vueling but it is not in BA’s league but they do beat Iberia and even Lufthansa, Airfrance and KLM on quality and they do beat BA on price. So if price is a factor, go Vueling. Or if your stuck due to location with Air France, Lufthansa and KLM then Vueling is a no brainer and the better option.

Great video Just a quick question please .. My wife and I are travelling from Newcastle to Edinburgh this week, leaving at 10:42. We bought standard class seats, but have recently heard about the ‘Seatfrog App’ which can sometimes give you the opportunity of upgrading to First on the day of travel at a bargain price. We’ll give it a go. I see for our train it is the ‘Dish menu’ which will probably mean a bacon roll and a cup of coffee. Is this simply offered to every passenger after they board the train ? Obviously the train will have be travelling for about 3 hours before we get on.

How can you dare to make such a positive review based on just one trip? Even with this horrible airline, if you travel 5 times, you might have quite happy experience for 4 of them. When you suffered once, you would know how evil are they!
@tipsy_travel
@tipsy_travel Жыл бұрын
Ultimately you can only review based on your experience and almost all KZbin trip reports are based off a single journey. You can’t possibly expect a KZbin to essentially make a video 5 times before they publish a review!

I booked 4 tickets with only underseat bags for the flight from Barcelona. Later I wanted to add a cabin bag, which can be done in the online system or with the APP. However, there was catch, that I was not allowed to add one cabin bag, or 2 or even 3. I had to add 4 cabin bags, i.e., for each of us. One cabin bag costed 14.5 EURO, so I had to pay 58 EURO. Was this a bug? I don't think so, because other people also encountered this issue before. Highly probably, they intended. If so, they were conducting crimes. Of course, I didn't want to pay the cost for 4 cabin bags, in order to carry just 1 cabin bag. I called their customer services for 7 times. I test all the options, but what I got was always pre-recorded machine messages. There was no customer service. I didn't want to take the risk of being charged while boarding either, because the charge could be up to 70 EURO. At the end, I purchased a ticket for a check-in bag (the MAX allowed weight is 20 kg), at a price of 45 EURO. This means that I paid 30 EURO more than the cost of a cabin bag. This was the best option that I had in their online system or with their APP, and I could not complain. When finally it was the boarding time, I was not allowed to carry my cabin bag (with the right size and the right weight) with me. The reason gave by the two old women was that I purchased a check-in bag, not a cabin bag. Sounds like that I made a mistake? Of course NOT. I always wanted to add a cabin bag, which costed only 14.5 EURO, but I simply didn't have such an option! I explained this to them, but they even didn't bother to listen. Then I started to complain. The ffuucckking old damn women then started to threaten me, "in principle, you should pay 70 EURO while boarding". How evil were they? FFUUCCKK! I was forced to pay more and had nowhere to complain. They didn't appologize and treated their customers in this way. I have only one suggestion: do not take Vueling! Never again.

this comment is aimed to help you improve your videos not to do harm. I watch a lot of travel videos and heres the problems I've noticed in this vides. the music is too loud from the start, the camera isn't looking straight like your eyes is angled and its very annoying tb, it took you sometime to start talking since the video started and you vice is a bit quiet also the video is quite long 30 minutes is a lot. and please provide more info about the planes at the start of the video like the type of plane and the cost of the tickets. the script and video idea are great I hope you make an improved RYANAIR vs WIZZAIR video in the future.

Many flight reviewers tend to gloss over the horrors of the ‘airport experience’. They’re almost all equally dreadful, especially the understaffed regionals. It’s far and away the worst part of flying. For some reason, European regional airports seem to be more civilised. Great video. Keep telling it how it is.

I’m always conflicted on LBA, it’s in the middle of nowhere and actually getting to the place is horrible. On the plus side however, airport parking is very reasonable, it has decent connections for long haul routes, adequate facilitates, and actually has a smoking area. Overall never an airport I dread using, but certainly not one I look forward to.

Wonderful job with the video (+1 sub) and Vueling seemed to have done a pretty decent job on your flight. Similar experience here when I flew with them return between Paris Orly and London Gatwick.
