I spent a whole hour trying to get this weapon and I’ve felt traumatized after finally beating the stage. Zhuge Liang’s gameplay in this game is so weak and it’s painful trying to eliminate all the Wei officers while keeping some of your allies alive for the showdown against Sima Yi. This is just one of those weapons where it’s best to use a 2P character to make it more manageable, having Zhuge Liang stationed in the main camp while a stronger character like Zhao Yun or Lu Bu does the weapon objective and clear the battle quickly.

One viable strategy with Xu Chu is to abuse the Survival Guide + Art of War to make use of his Musou putting him on the ground. Still, his moveset has a lot of holes in it regardless...

Tip: If you are having difficulty with the much harder 5th weapon challenges, I found out the higher your rank the harder it gets to achieve the missions in order to trigger the Supply Team. Even on Hard it can be virtually impossible to get certain characters 5th weapon, either by the skin of your teeth or by having a second player to make it easier. However if you reset your characters stats it beceomes *MUCH* easier to get the harder 5th weapons, such as Yukimura's, Shingen's, Ranmaru's, etc. just make sure you have a 3rd or 4th weapon with an additional high attack stat. If your character is still of high rank I would suggest doing Hanzō's campaign ln Free Mode and doing his Ueda Infiltration stage on either Hard or Chaos difficulty. I prefer Chaos difficulty because you get better stats, complete the stage like you would typically do with Hanzō by gathering information *ONLY* and becoming familiar with the castle layout to find all weapons and items. You only have one enemy officer to defeat which is Kunoich, this stage in particular is the easiest way to get a formidable weapon with high stats. After you've received the weapon of your liking reset your characters stats, don't worry, you won't lose the weapons you've collected once you've reset your characters stats. If you're confident in the weapon you have and your abilities, go to the stage where you unlock that particular character's 5th weapon, if not I would suggest getting your character up a couples of levels just to be sure. You'll notice that the lower ranking and the damage done to enemies is like night and day, you should be able to shred right through them like you were playing the stage on Easy Mode.

Get Wang Yuanji's best weapons first, and have enemy setting to "many", attack enemies with Knives for rage, use rage to kill enemies fast, and use Zhou Tai's weapon just to bhop instead of using musou on horses.

How to unlock the requirements for nightmare weapons? Do I have to complete all stages in chaos mode? Including dlc stages?

HEY GUYS, getting whatever message that gives an all out attack? That part must be extremely unnecessary, as well as defeating Kotaro and Tadakatsu, I havent beat either of them or recieved a message for an all out attack but i paused mid game right after getting the weapon just to tell ya this. Like I just kidna sat back and let all the enemies rush to me, and after making sure I still had 5 guy s left I rushed out to start cleaning house, one guy died and I got kinda worried, but I kept pushing cuz so far all 4 of my dudes were still back at base on the defense, I broke through the first two gates and one of my dudes had rushed out and needed to be rescued, rescued him, came back and started fighting tadakatsu, kotaro appeared, I'm in the middle of fighting tadakatsu but haven't beat him or kotaro yet and as soon as kotaro finished talking about he can't let Japan be unified yet the transport unit message popped up and I panicked about how much time I have, CUZ I HAVEN'T WATCHED YOUR VIDEO, I paused at 0:38 I just need to read the video description really, (that's how you know I know ky shizz and you can blindly trust me on this.) But so yea JUST KEEP YOUR GUYS ALIVE, defeat, EVERYONE. None shall be spared you are mitsuhide akechi right now demolish all who would dare to oppose you. Make sure you close off gates and such too so enemy mobs don't wipe your officer bro's. Once you get to tadakatsu as long as you have 4 officers alive you shouldn't HAVE to defeat them. Tadakatsu never ARRIVED, for me he was jsut there? I'm on old fat PS2 that barely reads discs without XL content cuz it reads my regular disc but not XL 😂 but I never defeated kotaro and tadakatsu, and I never got a message for an all out attack. So somehow some way those must not be viable? Or maybe this game's just my b!tch and it does what daddy says idk.

THKS SO MUCH!!! FOR ANYONE NEEDING HELP, IF YOU HAVE IT, I had to put in a 2nd controller, believe it or not it's a madcats controller I've had for years and it actually doesn't suck and has held up really well to a lot of button mashing and joystick spinning. But so I made 2p nene, and for the msot part I just did everything as nene because she spawns outside the castle on a horse not inside, so I can get around SO MUCH FASTER, I tried to do it myself like 15 times and it just kept failing SOMEWHERE, at some point I forgot all about interim saves and then when I plugged in the 2nd controller that's not an option with 2 players, but so I worked as nene mostly, after rescuing ogamasa from the two officers I hid her in a corner and switched dto my first controller for kotaro and was able to whoop everyone in the castle and protect ujimasa FINALLY, cuz if he dies and you don't hit start and select to return to the main menu it won't let you pause to quit and it'll get rid of your interim save (I'm on PS2) but after kicking everyone outsides butt woth nene, hiding her away, ju.ling to kotaro and cleaning house in the castle including leyasu and his mob squad, I switched back to nene and finished escorting ogamasa, switched to kotaro to clean up some of the officers for saving ujimasa I hadn't taken care of in the garden right outside the castle but still behind the castle wall, then I switched to nene again to bring her inside for what reason I can't remember, decided I didn't need to afterall, let kotaro grab the weapon then sat him back with ujimasa to keep him in my sights and let my bodyguard protect him, and then I switched back to nene eliminated a guard for their main camp, then mitsunari, the other guard ran head first into battle out of nowhere so I let him go, then I went to hideyoshi got jumped by keiji and every1 else, beat all of them and saved hideyoshi for last and then finally beat him.. SO THERE'S AN IDEA, based off of my experience. Keep in mind when you first stop the main keeps destruction and beat nene you might be able to fight leyasu and his dudes right then and there, beat them, amd then post kotaro in a corner and there'll only be regular enemies attacking him but you can ekave him to take damage and that's when I swit he'd to nene to finish up ogamasa, but otherwise you'll be in the same room as ujimasa facing the corner, so you won't see him for his health to drop but he's not gonna struggle like he would if you left the room cuz it judges how well he's doing based off his health bar a little more now or something idfk 😅, but you'll still probably have to switch back to kotaro cuz by the time I finished escorting ogamasa and beating sakon I just posted up right outside the first gate you have to defend cuz the other officers for the mission "save ujimasa" had worked their way inside after killing off pretty much ALL of my allies I couldn't have cared less about them unless it affected one of the main missions. But you'll be switching back pretty regularly but I had kotaro as my bodyguard for nene and tiger Gamo as my bodyguard for kotaro and they're both level 20 so they were able to smite most everything that attacked either character while they were sitting idle any time I switched controllers since I'm playing alone.

I downloaded both dw3 and dw3 XL on my tablet, I kid you not , getting zhuge liangs and dian wei 5th weapon was hell, no controller only touch screen
