Will you make videos of the Thresherman’s Reunion in August?
@tractorjunkco94312 ай бұрын
I'm taking off the whole week for the show, so I'm hoping to get a few videos of the event. I run pullback for the garden tractors at the events, so I might try to get a video from that perspective if I get the chance during the show as well.

She sounds good, the front wheel configuration says she had mounted cultivators. Dad farmed with a WC Alis of about the same age. dad upgraded to a wd45 alis then a D17 alis when he could aford it. These old gIrls were outpaced by the newer and better machines. i bought my first tractor, a farmall f20 and dad loved to hear the old girl run. it reminded bim of the early days.

Nice f20! It has a cool patina I think. I have a wide rear f20. 1935, sawtooth throttle and hand brake. I have the overdrive box myself, its pretty scary on the road with the single hand brake! I bought a brand new deckover trailer to haul it that cost 4 times what the tractor did! LOL
@tractorjunkco94319 ай бұрын
Very nice! Personally, I'm not a big fan of painting tractors myself. But that sawtooth throttle was a field upgrade if I remember correctly. It was a much better design then the old friction style from I think pre-1937.
@tractormike6859 ай бұрын
@tractorjunkco9431 an upgrade I suppose. I've redone 2 tractors myself. It's enjoyable, but not a good financial decision. Now I let someone else do all the hard work and buy them for half the price after. Lol

Just liked and subscribed. We have several farmalls. One is a 350 row crop gas. We are parting out a 350 row crop diesel. Just sold the trans with the TA -Fast hitch and live PTO. In our Arkansas red clay a 350 can only handle a 2 bottom plow.
@tractorjunkco943110 ай бұрын
Thanks! I'd love to have a Diesel 350 myself but they are rare here in PA. We have alot of Farmall MD here towards Harrisburg or Lancaster. Yeah, the 350 just doesn't have the torque of a good running M or 400, exc.

Nice little tractor. Runs good. Lot of em missing the tag seems like. We went to the first expo in Waterloo in 1987 and a guy brought his to the show in the back of his pickup. I’ve wanted an L or LA since I was about 12, not many around here though.
@tractorjunkco943110 ай бұрын
You can't do much with them, but they are fun little cruise tractors for shows. I'd say look on Facebook if you want to find one. I gave $1,000 for mine thinking it was a normal L model. I didn't find out it was a LI to a few weeks later at a tractor show.

@tractorjunkco943111 ай бұрын
@chuckhill7326 your 100% right on the horsepower of the 350. At the time we were having trouble with the hydraulics losing pressure and digging the plow down deeper than it should be.

@tractorjunkco9431 Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure honestly. I have a 7ft New Holland sickle mower I pick up easy enough and it's not real light. My 40T will bring the front-end up before the hydraulics run out of power since it's so front-end light. I recommend wheel weights or filled tires before you go lifting anything real heavy.

If your wires connecting to the battery are clean and the right diameter then the 6v works good on these small farm tractors. I wouldn't want to try it on anything bigger then a JD 60 though do to compression. Awesome piece man.
