Fake. Digital audio with tape-sound filter. Or direct grabbing the music elsewhere from, but not from that tape head reading cassette.

have you ever tried to recreate the (tape warble delay etc whatever it is?) live? i was looking for pedals that might emulate a tape recorder / ribbon mic sound but didnt find anything promising. also, great playing of course!
