@@Manx123 it's not topical because it doesn't exist. Except for the rich, of course. Our courts aren't giving out light sentences, England and Wales literally have the harshest sentences in Western Europe. Prisons are full to bursting, and if you look at the graphs, you'll see that while prison population has climbed high to get there, the crime rate has been falling since the 1995. For every "Paedophile gets only months!!!!!!" story in the billionaire media there are a thousand 19 year old working class men who got a year or more for drug possession because cannabis is a class B now, there's a blanket ban on all 'psychoactive substances' so broad that it technically outlawed chocolate, and our economy is run entirely for the profit of billionaires because political corruption is completely legal, so millions of people who were getting by have now been driven into grinding poverty and when they can't pay back their predatory payday loans they go to fucking debtors prison because they changed the bankruptcy laws to make it so basically only rich people can declare bankruptcy, and can do so while still having BILLIONS purely so that they can steal money from their employees and pensioners. The next step, of course, will be to privatise the prison system so corporations can put prisoners to work doing slave labour like in the USA. And the whole point of the sketch is the Pythons, geniuses that they are/were, foresaw some of this all those years ago when they first brought in mandatory minimums, which the government of the time justified by saying "well we have to do this or judges will decide to let murderers go free just because they asked nicely or went to the same school or something", and the tabloids ate it up but of course it was a complete fantasy, dreamt up only to justify a terrible idea the government wanted to bring in purely because America had it, but of course couldn't admit that was the reason. So the Pythons wrote this sketch, showing how insane that fantasy actually was, and how nuts you'd need to be to believe it was really happening, and now the comment section is full of people falling over themselves to say "I BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING!!!!!! I LOVE MONTY PYTHON!!!" Now that's irony.

No it's not do you even know what the cia does ? Clearly not also the NSA doesn't prosecute people so how does that make sense. The FBI doesn't prosecute, they investigate and arrest people. Don't make comparisons that don't make sense it makes you look dumb
