Congrats on your first buck! That first one is always one to remember! Pine Valley isn't what it used to be, and yet the DWR keeps increasing tags down there. Wish they would actually do their due diligence. If they did, they would discover what the rest of us have unfortunately come to discover.

I’m convinced the mechanics of this game are programmed to always spawn in at least one low fitness male in each herd,flock, pack or whatever. I killed all the bucks or left only a 3 or 4 star buck in herds numerous times and there is always I mean always a young buck with a whacky looking rack that is worse than the others I killed off. I understand that it’s part of what helps with the longevity of this game to keep it interesting but it gets annoying that you’ll never get the perfect herd. I also wonder if there will ever be a perfect trophy on this game. Has anyone ever gotten a 100%fitness animal with a 500 score. I accidentally killed a 99.99% snow hare that was a young male while completing an objective. I don’t care about getting 5 star trophy hares but I still felt like crap because I didn’t even check what it was before shooting. What is the lowest fitness you gives have harvested? Mine was 10 or 11%

I didn’t even realize there were black tail on that map. I don’t hunt on it much, just when I feel like hunting bison and caribou

Yep that is why is use the lapua for everything, it seams like all the guns are inconsistent. if you are a little off with the lapua they Aren’t going far. Also the bear brand crossbow is crazy overpowered. I use that as secondary if I’m in a situation that i don’t want to spook other animals or other herds nearby.

This seems very tedious with so many maps and herds to manage. If you work on a herd, and then leave it, will it degrade over time?

Been managing the deer in the grassland for a long time. Spotted one herd and saw a 1* mature male. Didn’t react to low fit call so swapped to high fit call, which worked. Buck goes around a rock and through some bushes. Drop it and go the harvest, but behind the rock there had been a 5* buck that came first through the bushes. Then started to follew the herd to cull that mat 1*, but spotted another 5* in the same herd. Third time aroung got that original mat 1* off the herd :)

Where do you get the information about the geen pool of all deer in the grasslands? I cannot find any info about that, i thought each herd has different pool.

Im also wandering, if i spend time in a different map, will my herds on other maps age along side or are they paused unless im on teir map? Sorry for all the questions, loved your video was really helpful

Another quick question, I have witnessed males with no herd, and also entire hearts made up only of females, do they link up? So far I have killed the lone males, but I'm wandering do they join female only herds, if they don't, will a male ever sporn in that female herd? Equally if there is a herd with only one male, but he's bad genetics, if I shoot him will that herd be able to reproduce , or will it be stuck as females forever?

When you are managing grass lands, how long do you sleep for at each camp, like what time of day the next morning do you wake up?

I have a question about antler symmetry , how can you tell if a 1 star young or a 1 star adults antlers are symmetrical or not this applies to elk deer and moose if you wanna throw big horn sheep and mountain goats in there to then go ahead but i have been struggling when telling the difference especially young 1 stars i killed a 1 star young white tail the other day because his antlers looked off but turns out his genetics were at 72% if anyone could give me advice i would appreciate it
