This is why subsite is better, they’re tall and have a pivot ball on the bottom so it’ll stand up on uneven surfaces. Unlike these jokes that fall over, even the tripod attachment sucks on these. Stiff legs makes it fall over still haha

F5 falcon it’s amazing. Love that it chooses the best bands for the job also love how has an option to tell the pitch of road don’t use it much but it help me when I first started now I’m a pro.

I get the signal strength and slant depth. What is the other two points for?

These are reference points so you can be certain the drill head is staying on the target line. Steer the drill head to maintain a constant signal strength at each of the points. P1, P2, and P3. If the signal strength decreases, the drill head is moving away (to the left). If it increases, the drill head is moving closer to the side position (to the right).

Please explain the down band vs up band. I must have missed that part. I understand they are different but why and whats the reason? Can you switch in the middle of a shot?

Hi Steve, The reason for 2 bands is to give you 2 options to combat interreference along your bore path. You are able to switch mid bore using our 10-2-7 Roll Sequence. Doing a Transmitter Information Read will give you an idea of how much battery strength is left. Another factor would be if you are using a lithium rechargeable battery versus a standard alkaline battery. Now let's discuss battery chatter in a rock housing even though we have the gasket with the double sided springs in between the batteries. Takes minutes to get your clock and pitch back on the screen and then you're basically decalibrated. Why?

Is it accurate enough that it can create gravity/graded shots? Does the software allow for this?

Yes, we have a driller in Oklahoma, Trevor Igo, who just used it to layer multiple pipes over one another using waypoints from the software to create a depth and pitch fencing around a planned route. Once you get a little familiar with the software, using waypoints really allow you to get creative with shots or customize a shot should you like.

I wish the company (I work for) would invest on laptops to be able to do a bore log using the Bluetooth device. Pretty cool set up. I've been operating the drill and locating by myself because they can't find someone good to help me and the equipment pretty much does it for me. It requires a bit of skill and knowledge to avoid putting too much stress on the rods but for the most part if you manage to understand the mechanics of it it's pretty straight forward. Falkon F5plus rocks
