There's NOTHING sexist about the truth. No apologies are required or should be offered. Some females have to step up and put up the dad-energy (because of the feminization of our males for 70 years) but it's STILL dad-energy that they are working.

Actually I saw Dylan and Willie Nelson on that tour, in Richmond. If you already knew the words to Dylan's songs you were OK. If not, I can see what Seeger was saying (BTW there are plent of videos The Weavers made in the 50s.)

Though brevity might increase the overall audience over the long run, I hate to cater to the short attention span crowd, especially when there's fun facts a data to fill the full run time.

Also, I remember hearing on the radio Theodore Bikel, who was there with Pete Seeger when this took place. Bikel gave the impression that Seeger wanted to pull the plug on Dylan. I'm glad to hear after all these years Seger's side of the story. Also, I remember in the sixties Seeger performing a number of Dylan tunes that Dylan hadn't recorded

Seger made a mistake. It was 1965 not 1955. I was 15 at the time and remember it well. I was definitely not 5!!! I heard both Seeger and Dylan live but never at the same time.

@@thepaulleslie I wasn't condemning him, just pointing it out for those who didn't know he was talking about 1965 Newport. I wasn't there but there was a lot of buzz around Dylan going electric. Dylan then performed at Forest Hills and I was there.
