Wrong. Everybody wins. That is, the feds, the cartels, and the Chinese, everybody except for the little ppl on the ground dying ODing getting addicted and thrown in jail. But other than that, everybody wins.

22:46 hits home. It's fucking hard man. I'm a pretty stoic guy, hardworking, very physical labor, and in charge of team. I let a lot build up and its crushing not being able to let it out or talk to someone. So it turns into drinking a lot, and self loathing. Again, great video, obviously that hit home for me.

It’s interesting how this analysis primarily focuses on earlier seasons. It shows just how well crafted BB was, that these themes are set up early on then developed and paid off.

I think the forst episode is a bit more nuanced than the DEA just storming a house KNOWING ot was just one dude. They were probably expecting a small operation, and there's always higher risk when it come to meth labs. I think they weren't doing it to strike fear into the civilians but instead out of caution and the fear there will be a shootout cuz meth charges lock you up for a long ass time.

Props to Hank for when he tried to prevent Walter from giving Walt Jr tequila by the pool. Never disliked Walt more than at that exact moment. Walt Jr is the true victim of the show.

Breaking Bad is literally Walt and to an extent Jesse having a "real life" (in the plot of the show) Milgram Experiment. From Pilot to FeLiNa they both commit small crimes then stepping it up a small step, then another step, and then another step. it happens faster with Walt but it also happens with Jesse too .. which is kinda ironic cause in the end he kills the Neo Nazis when in reality the Nazis were the inspiration (in particular Adolf Eichmann) as Milgram wanted to know how someone who started off as a good guy ended up one of the most evil Nazi scientists to ever exist .

I'm not saying you're saying it, I'm talking about the people who WOULD But its SOOO wild to think a franchise about fucking crime empires and lawyers could be apolitical. what is crime? what are laws? what is politics if not the environment in which those things exist?

Hate to point out how you missed the point of the show but the first dvd commentary has vince state the show is meant to highlight the harm drugs. Not to say the show was written politicslly it was written a politically breaking bad is a show. I dont want to get into the police brutality debate but the example you use here was a didnt think much of it thing. 3:30 Now can shows be interpreted to have different meanings yeah but thats now how the show was written why do you think the actual DEA taught bryan to cook the stuff so he could accurately depict the craft on tv with obviously embelishment for legal reasons but yeah. Now the show does have commentary on the police its not the militarization more or less how the dea doesnt view drug addicts as people. although that being said we im not going tk step further into this because if i were to explain the nuances of this i would both upset the left and the right so not going to bogher. You missed the point for walts story and its pretty obvious. Now a lot of people think walter became evil and they arent stupid for beleiving that however. The drug war didnt make walt a monster rather it revealed a monster. Dont take it from vince gilligian in a video called how walt revealed his true colors on the official Breaking bad youtube channel he explained that what changed about walt is how much he indudges in his ego. Walter after the traumatic event of season 1 is given an option to get his cancer paid and his problsms solve and he refuses it and chooses to go back into the underworld because he wants to be the big man. Walter himself gets into the idea pretty easily despite some kf his apprehension about being the bad guy. He within a week goes from idk if we should be our own distributer t trying to follow tucos example and blah blah blah. Walter tries to act cool and wants tk be respected. Walter wasnt exactly evil to begin with but had a monster lurking under the surface ever since he left grey matter by choice and blames them for his choice. Rewatch the scene where walt talks to grechen its pretty obvious that they never screwed him over he is convincing himself they did and its prior to brba. Your assement of walt is wrong and while im nkt going to comment on anything politically. You need to be accurate before you need to be able to comment kn society this has nothing tk do with what you beleive and everythibg to do with how you are missrepresenting the show. To be clear where i stand while remaining nutral i think the stigmatization is a problem in society on addiction which has more to due with addictuon in general than anyrhibg is a problem and i have the take that we should learn from prihibition. Regardless this video is no offense a waste not because its political but because it doesnt get the source material its taljing about. Brba is a show about toxic masculinity. I know saying that is cringe but its what the show is actually about and theres essays ob yt that will explain this for me but yeah its pretty clear when you realize Walt is a good guy meant to be bad. Jesse is a bad guy meabt to be good
